Multichoice Prior to weighing out, trainer S. Kendrick advised that he had made an oversight in not adding a tongue-tie to the gear of the horse. As the filly had trialled recently at the Sunshine Coast with that gear, permission was granted for MULTICHOICE to race with that gear and he was subsequently fined the sum of $200. Bungle Boori Stewards asked M. Hellyer to comment on the horse’s performance. He indicated that as the horse had a tendency to hang, he was mindful of this in the running. The horse did lay out somewhat rounding the home turn and when attempting to secure clear running in the home straight, he looked to improve to the inside of BAR FLY BARRISTER, however when that horse shifted back towards the fence he elected to shift out approaching the 200m and was then also obliged to shift out further to obtain clear running outside THE COLUMBIAN. Aderito Commenced to overrace approaching the 800m after being tightened for room to the inside of THE AMBASSADORE, which shifted in when not fully clear. Apprentice A. Fancourt, the rider of THE AMBASSADORE, was reprimanded for this incident and advised to ensure that she is sufficiently clear in future. Following this, ADERITO shifted out and raced three wide without cover whilst continuing to overrace. Ipswich 10/05/2017

Awakenings Had to be continually restrained to avoid heels approaching the 1000m. Brushed by another runner approaching the finishing line. Eagle Farm 03/05/2017

Kermandie Star Slow to begin. Commenced to overrace approaching the 1400m and had to be restrained from heels. Inclined to lay in under pressure for the majority of the home straight and over the concluding stages shifted in and bumped PRICELESS DE HERO. Ipswich 06/05/2017

Witches Wit Shortly after jumping was hampered slightly by ALL PLUCK, which shifted in. After passing 400m held up for clear running until entering home straight. Ipswich 01/05/2017
Occhilupo Slow to begin and obliged to work hard early to obtain the lead before compounding over the final 400m. Vetted - failed to reveal any abnormalities Ipswich 26/04/2017
Dainty Stepper When weakening in the home straight became awkward after being struck with the whip near the 250m and shifted out. The horse again became unbalanced approaching the 100m when struck with the whip and over the concluding stages appeared to shy and shift out. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Trainer L. Ross was advised that a warning would be placed on the filly’s racing manners. Sunshine Coast 07/05/2017
Sinister Princess Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early stages in the home straight and was bumped by another runner near the 250m. Stewards questioned jockey L. Tarrant regarding the positioning of the horse which raced in a more forward position. He indicated it had not been his intention to be in the forward half of the field however after beginning well he elected to pressure his mount out of the barriers in order to take advantage of this. Trainer D. Heinemann was also questioned and he indicated he had the filly a little fresher than he would have liked for a 1400m start and did not give Sunshine Coast 07/05/2017
Casino Evil Over the final stages App. G Mitchell was unable to test her mount as it was awkwardly placed at the heels of the tiring GOOD MANEUVER. Gold Coast 22/04/2017

Urban Knight Leaving the 1000m had to be steadied when hampered by HI I’M BACK, which shifted in. Steadied from heels near the 600m. Approaching the 200m was disappointed when attempting a narrow run between MY LITTLE FLICKA and MR FAVULOUS, both of which shifted ground. As a consequence URBAN KNIGHT had to be checked for some distance leaving the 200m before shifting out across the heels of MY LITTLE FLICKA to obtain clear running Gold Coast 06/05/2017

Moonlight Dancer Slow to begin. Questioner re performance App stated that able to ride gelding as instructed in the early stages in a rearward position. Leaving the 1000m he allowed his mount to improve to obtain a position outside WALK TO THE BAR however, passing the 800m was taken to a 3 wide position by that runner. Given the slow tempo he elected to allow MOONLIGHT DANCER to improve into race but was continually taken wider on the track as WALK TO THE BAR continued to improve on his inside. As a consequence was obliged to race very wide rounding home turn which had detrimental effect on the performance. Gold Coast 15/04/2017

Flying Fred Slow to begin. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, App. J Guthmann-Chester stated that in his opinion despite the gelding having won on a soft track at its only start, he was of the view that the gelding failed to handle today’s track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities at the time of examination. Gold Coast 13/05/2017
