After being held up for clear running rounding the home turn, again had difficulty obtaining clear running near the 200m and again over the concluding stages and shifted in abruptly to secure clear running, making heavy contact with another runner. Dominant Crown Slow to begin. Jockey J Mallyon reported that after being slow to begin, the gelding was obliged to race at the rear of the field where it resented the kickback. Jockey Mallyon added that the gelding then raced greenly in the home straight before finishing the race off well over the final 100m. Gold Coast 27/05/2017

Red Saga The veterinary surgeon reported that the mare had a nasal discharge post-race. Trainer M. Renehan was advised that he will be required to produce a veterinary clearance and the results of an endoscopic examination for the horse prior to it racing again. The Overdraft D. Browne reported to stewards that he was very disappointed with the horse’s overall performance and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Trainer R. Heathcote advised that he would advise stewards of the outcome of veterinary tests he intends to have carried out on the horse. Sunshine Coast 19/02/2017

Over the concluding stages, when racing in close proximity to CRIMSON GOD, attempted to savage that runner. Stewards drew this to the attention of trainer T. Lascar Raced wide from the 1300m and laid in under pressure in the home straight. Stewards questioned R. Fradd regarding his riding of the horse after passing the 1600m where it appeared he had opportunity to improve forward when the pace slackened significantly. Refer Stewards Report.
