Airacobra Became fractious and slipped in the enclosure. After arriving at the barriers the horse underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to start. A public announcement was made to this effect. Sunshine Coast 16/03/2018
Speedy Eclipse Jumped awkwardly, causing its rider to become unbalanced. Shortly afterwards, the saddle on the gelding slipped, placing the rider at a significant disadvantage and as a result the gelding was not tested throughout the event. Sunshine Coast 10/12/2017
Crab Boy Obtained a leading position after beginning well and, as a result, settled further forward than anticipated. On return to scale, jockey K. Yoshida advised that, in his opinion, the gelding would be better ridden with cover in future events, however he was unable to do so on this occasion due to the circumstances of the event. Big Dan the Man Raced four wide without cover. Ipswich 07/03/2018
Countess Natalie Raced 3 wide with cover for the majority of the event. Dalby 12/12/2017
Mezcal Raced greenly in the early stages. Eased from heels near the 700m. Made the home turn wide. Dalby 12/12/2017
Bounty Hunter Near 500m eased when tightened for room between TRUE COLOURS and BOOM BOY. Gold Coast 03/03/2018
Honest Natalie Raced in restricted room passing the 400m to the inside of SHARE THE MAGIC which hung in despite the efforts of its rider. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Toowoomba 25/11/2017

Sienna Rose Raced in restricted room approaching the first turn when tightened by a runner to the outside. Momentarily tightened for room near the 200m. M. McGillivray reported at scale that he was disappointed in his mounts finishing effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Doomben 28/10/2017

Ridgway When questioned regarding the horse’s performance, J. Byrne explained that RIDGWAY only travelled fairly and although it raced in restricted room rounding the home turn, the horse did not quicken as he expected, which he felt could be attributed to the horse not being entirely comfortable on the rain-affected track. Nicalati Raced wide in the early stages and after passing the 600m was obliged to steady from the heels of the weakening BUELLERS DAY OFF and lost significant ground. Sunshine Coast 22/10/2017

Country Luck Bumped near the 300m. When asked to comment on the performance, apprentice J. Murphy indicated that the horse overraced slightly in the early stages and was also bumped by other runners on a number of occasions after the 600m, which he believed may have had a bearing on the performance. God Sent Near the 1500m steadied to avoid the heels of NATURE TRAIN which shifted in. App. Z White (NATURE TRAIN) was severely reprimanded for shifting in when not sufficiently clear of GOD SENT. When asked to comment on the performance, Jockey A Allen stated that in his opinion the filly was not suited by the moderate tempo during the middle stages as it failed to quicken as expected when placed under pressure rounding the home turn. Telford Raced wide without cover. Apprentice R. Ride reported at scale that her mount hung out for a major part of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Trainer L. Derecourt reported that she was of the opinion that the tongue tie may have contributed to the horse hanging out today so she will remove that gear and experiment with a tongue control bit at its next start. Honour'n'strength Connections advised that it was the intention to have the gelding ridden on the speed today – Was unable to obtain a forward position despite the efforts of Jockey M McGuren in the early stages and settled in a mid-field position with cover. The Perpetrator Had to be restrained from heels for some distance after passing the 600m. Had to be eased passing the 400m when disappointed for a run between STORMY GREY and ARGIE BARGIE, which laid in at that stage. Doomben 14/03/2018
Omnia Marka Tayada The veterinary surgeon reported that the gelding returned to the enclosure with blood in its mouth after noting that the horse had made contact with the gate on jumping. Doomben 14/03/2018

Priest's Road When the pace slackened after passing the 1200m had to be restrained from heels. Laid in from the 450m onwards, placing its rider at a disadvantage over the final 200m. Sunshine Coast 02/03/2018

Skyscraper Slow into stride. Shifted out after leaving the 400m to secure clear running and in doing so made contact with another runner. Sunshine Coast 02/03/2018
Copywriter Slow to begin. Laid in under pressure in the home straight and performed below market expectations. Jockey J. Orman reported his mount did not travel comfortably at any stage of the race and was very disappointing, adding that the horse laid in under pressure in the home straight and raced awkwardly over the final 200m. A post race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be making a respiratory noise indicative of a possible respiratory infections and a poor post-race recovery. Trainer S. Kendrick was advised that the horse must undergo endoscopic examination and he must furnish to Sunshine Coast 22/10/2017

Desert Rush When questioned regarding the performance of the filly rider stated that his mount travelled well in the middle stages but when placing the filly under pressure on straightening it failed to stretch out and was very disappointing. A post-race vet exam no abs. When questioned trainer advised stewards that in the subsequent days the filly was showing symptoms of having jarred up and would now be spelled. Coffs Harbour 15/12/2017

Techno Savvy Pulled approaching and rounding the first turn. When qstd re performance, rider stated that his mount was slow to begin and settled further back than anticipated. Rider added that his mount was pushed three wide at the 700m and that his mount failed to respond strongly to pressure in the straight and weakened over the final 200m. Rider stated it was his mounts first attempt over 1600m and in his opinion, it failed to run out the distance today and was not suited to the quick back up. Madam Shazam Slow to begin. When asked to comment on the performance, jockey J. Lloyd indicated the horse did not travel comfortably in the rain affected conditions and after blundering badly near the 700m commenced to lose touch with the main body of the field and was very disappointing in the run to the line. Trainer T. Edmonds agreed with the comments of jockey Lloyd, indicating that the stable was quite disappointed with the performance. Sip Sip Sip questioned regarding the tactics adopted on the mare, apprentice Lacy advised she was caught wide in the early stages from the wide barrier and the mare commenced to overrace and therefore it was allowed to stride forward to obtain the lead passing the 1000m. When questioned regarding the improved performance, trainer P. Duncan explained that the mare was only having its second start for the stable and at its first start it was a little fresh and became stirred up prior to its race and that may have taken its toll on that day.
