Hung out after the start and continued to shift wider on the course despite the efforts of its rider, causing interference to other runners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. After considering the racing characteristics of PRINCE OF TIE, stewards advised trainer K. Schweida that the gelding will need to requalify at a distance greater than 800m to the stewards’ satisfaction. Mr Schweida indicated that he would experiment with some gear in order to improve the racing manners of PRINCE OF TIE.
