Jule's Spirit Attempted to buck during the early stages and lost significant ground. Raced greenly under pressure in the home straight, causing its rider to stop riding over the concluding stages. It was reported by jockey Orman that the saddle had slipped back during the early stages. Trainer K. Sienna Rose Hampered on jumping away. Jockey P. Hammersley confirmed his disappointment in the performance and could offer no explanation. Trainer S. O’Dea advised that the horse would likely be sent for a spell, and in light of today’s performance he would report back to stewards if anything came to light in the coming days that may have had a bearing on today’s performance. Duke of Cleveland Checked significantly and forced wider on the track near the 1000m to avoid the fallen runner. Sunshine Coast 05/01/2018
The Candy Man As jockey R. McMahon’s arrival on course was delayed, D. Griffin was substituted as the rider of the horse. When asked to comment on the performance of the horse, jockey Griffin indicated his mount raced quite greenly in the early and middle stages after he had been instructed to allow the horse to settle out of the barriers. He indicated that, in his opinion, the gelding finished the race off strongly despite laying in form the 400m onwards. He added that trainer Mr B. Baldwin suggested he would now look to spell the horse Sunshine Coast 08/05/2016

Elle of a Run Proved difficult to load. Trainer R. Heathcote was advised that a warning would be placed on the filly’s manners. Slow to begin. Had a tendency to hang out throughout the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to have a laceration to its tongue. Trainer R. Race 8
Coonowrin Ruby Jockey M. Hellyer reported that it had been his intention to lead, however he had been instructed not to pressure the horse overly in the early stages as it has had a tendency to overrace in the past. He indicated as a result of not pressuring the horse in the early stages he had elected to then steady and take up a trailing position. He indicated when attempting to have the horse steady, it commenced to overrace and he therefore attempted to stride forward to the lead. He added the horse hung out throughout and placed him at a disadvantage. Sunshine Coast 22/09/2018
Visona Playboy Trainer advised horse would be ridden further forward if circumstances permit - ridden accordingly. Overraced in early stages. Near 700m steadied from the heels of MORESKA SWORD when that runner handed up the lead to STRAIGHT HOME. Gold Coast 22/09/2018
Idalia's Dream Weakened badly from the 600m and finished tailed off. A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be suffering from cardiac arrhythmia and mild dehydration. Connections were advised that an ECG must be performed on the horse with results reported stewards and the gelding must trial satisfactorily prior to its next race start Sunshine Coast 12/09/2018
