Irish Figure Buffeted between runners shortly after the start. Over raced badly in the early stages and had to be checked. A post race veterinary examination of IRISH FIGURE identified the presence of blood in one nostril. Better Get Ready Severely hampered on entering the home straight. App. Kilner reported that her mount felt awkward in its action over the concluding stages and she elected not to put her mount under any further pressure. Forbidden One Buffeted between runners shortly after the start. Raced wide. Post-race veterinary examination revealed an abrasion to its near fore leg. Sunshine Coast 16/01/2022

My Adeline On arriving on-course slipped in the tie-up stalls, sustained a minor abrasion to the off foreleg, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Bumped and taken in at the start. Raced three wide in the early stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare had bled from both nostrils for the first time. Under the provisions of AR79(4) representative for Trainer G Heinrich was advised MY ADELINE would be stood down from racing for a period of 3 months and must gallop 1000 metres in the presence of a Steward prior to its next race start. Metzarro Slow to begin. Eased down from the 200 metres. Rider reported the filly did not feel comfortable in its action. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality. Rebel Leader Over-raced in the early stages when being restrained to obtain cover. Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the event. When questioned regarding tactics in the early stages, particularly if there was an opportunity to lead, R Fradd stated instructions were to hold the horse up for one run with cover, however after runners to the inside improved, he was caught racing three wide without cover. Trainer I Turner confirmed the instructions however in hindsight would have preferred the horse to stride forward to the lead. Stewards accepted the explanation of jockey Fradd in that he was Sunshine Coast 13/03/2022

Harvesta Over-raced in the early stages and approaching the 1300m had to be steadied from the heels of REGION EFF. Sunshine Coast 06/03/2022
Blackboots Slow to begin. Rider B. Thompson reported that the mare was making an abnormal respiratory noise over the concluding stages of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor post-race recovery. Trainer K. Fogden advised that she would have an endoscopic examination conducted on the mare and would forward the results to stewards. Sunshine Coast 06/03/2022

Scissorhands Jockey R Stewart replaced L Cassidy. Underwent a pre-race examination and was passed clear to race. Eagle Farm 31/07/2021
Secret Tales When crossed early, over raced for a short distance. When asked to comment on the below market expectation of Secret Tales, jockey N Callow stated that he positioned well, but when placed under pressured approaching the home turn the filly failed to respond to his riding and was disappointing. Smart Success Slow to begin and was then shifted behind runners in the early stages from a wide barrier. A post-race vet exam revealed the mare to be 2/5 lame in the off-foreleg.
