Rdr reported his mnt travelled well throughout the early stages. He said that near the 800m, when the tempo slackened, mnt commenced to race keenly and had to be shifted wider after becoming awkwardly placed at heels. He said at this point another rnr shifted out in advance of him, which resulted in mnt racing wide and without cover from this point. He added that, once placed under pressure in the home straight, the gelding failed to respond to his riding strongly and weakened from the race. A post-race vet exam revealed no abs.
