Sunbury  Jockey reported that his mount hung in badly from the 200 metres. A post-race veterinary examinatin revealed that the gelding was gelding was showing a slow recovery rate, otherwise no abnormality.  Rockhampton  14/07/2016 
The Principal  Bumped at the start. When questioned regarding his riding of the gelding in the straight, Jockey explained that it had been inclined to lay out throughout the event, and when placed under pressure in the straight his mount was inclined to lay out. He added that near the 200 metres when a runner to his inside shifted out, was awkwardly placed on its heels and he then elected to shift to the inside, where it went to the finish only fairly.
