Slow to begin. When questioned regarding her riding explained that she had been instructed to ride the gelding in a forward position however if there was speed in the race to attempt to find cover. After being crossed the gelding commenced to overrace and made the first turn awkwardly. Shortly after straightening when attempting a run was hampered when a runner shifted ground. After rebalancing and again attempting to improve both runners forward of her shifted ground and she was held up and went to the line without being tested.

When questioned regarding the seemingly disappointing performance of the gelding, which raced below market expectations, Jockey stated that in his opinion the horse was not suited by the slow early tempo, and had been unable to finish off the race as expected.
