Stood flat-footed as the gates opened. Raced wide without cover for the majority.Trainer was advised that the mare will be required to trial prior to its next start. Stewards questioned Jockey in relation to her riding of after the mare had missed the start by a considerable margin. Jockey explained that her instructions were to go forward, which she attempted to do, however was forced to travel wide from the 800 and as a result was unable to finish off its race. Stewards advised option would have been to tack onto the field and endeavour to obtain running close to the running rail.

Following an apparent below expectations performance Stewards interviewed the Jockey who advised that the gelding had failed to stretch out from the 900 metres despite his urgings. Trainer advised that the gelding was having its first start on the track and this was against his wishes. A post-race veterinary inspection revealed swelling and lameness to right front leg. Trainer was advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to the gelding again starting in a race.
