Commence to hang out and race ungenerously from the 800 metres. Ran extremely wide making the home turn. Jockey Edwards stated that he had ridden the gelding in its pre-race trackwork and that Enuff Gold tended to hang out when working clockwise on the sand track. He further advised that Enuff Gold was never travelling comfortably throughout the race. Trainer Ms B Thomson was advised that Enuff Gold will be required to trial before being permitted to race again.

Apprentice Ms I Teh (Mango Tango Wine) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of AR131(a) in that she allowed her mount to shift in when not clear of Paparazzi Rocket. Apprentice Jockey I Teh’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 8 days to commence 30 January 2023 and expire midnight 6 February 2023.

As such Starter J Cullen applied a tongue tie to (Kittykittybangbang) behind the barriers before loading the mare.
