Trainer advised the colt would now be spelled.

When asked to comment on the performance of the mare, jockey P Hammersley reported that due to the fast early tempo, after beginning only reasonably the mare settled further back than he had anticipated. Jockey Hammersley added that as a result of this the mare was very reluctant to stretch out through the kick back and as a consequence, trailed the field throughout the event. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

When questioned in relation to the improved performance trainer stated that it is only her second start the gelding. Trainer added that in the most recent start at Dalby the gelding was slow away and had to do a lot of work early. Trainer stated that in her opinion the recent addition of blinkers was beneficial to the geldings performance.
