Approaching the 200m, shifted out abruptly and bumped BERAKAHQUINN. When questioned regarding the performance, jockey J. Morris reported that his mount raced greenly in various stages throughout the event and proved difficult to ride. Jockey Morris further added that approaching the finish line the gelding was inclined to lay in, placing him at a disadvantage over the concluding stages.

When questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance Trainers rep advised instructions had been to be neutral on the mare from the barrier as other recent riders had advised, in their opinion, it resented being pressured in the early stages, adding that having pleased in its recent work the stable had expected an improved showing though were somewhat surprised.
