GEORGIA SIMON
Queensland Off-The-Track proudly introduces Georgia Simon as a QOTT Acknowledged Retrainer.
An accomplished rider, Georgia is passionate about retraining former racehorses and she has a special place in her heart for off the track thoroughbreds, where she strives to bring out their best.
Georgia started riding at an early age, with her love of thoroughbreds commencing when she acquired her very first off the track thoroughbred at age 15. Georgia has gone on to successfully compete in Dressage, Showjumping and up to 3* level Eventing, taking out many championships and winning numerous rugs and trophies along the way.
Georgia is an Equestrian Australia Accredited NCAS Level 2 Coach and an Approved Coach for the Queensland Off-The-Track Subsidised Lessons Program. Georgia enjoys providing instruction to beginner riders, guiding them and providing the correct foundations to become better riders, right through to coaching advanced riders, who regularly compete on the competition circuit.
“The right home is always paramount. My aim is to provide the correct foundations to the off-the-track horse to be able to go out and compete in their new lives, while giving owners the knowledge of how to look after a horse after it finishes its racing career.”
Founder of GKA Equestrian Enterprizes, a business that offers retraining, coaching, clinics and agistment, Georgia’s retraining methods are focussed on achieving the best outcome for the horse. Georgia takes great pride in matching the skills of the horse to the prospective new owner to ensure that both horse and rider are compatible and can enjoy a safe and fun future together.
