SANDI SEVIOR
Queensland Off-The-Track proudly introduces Sandi Sevior as a QOTT Acknowledged Retrainer.
Sandi grew up in a racing family, with her grandfather and her aunt both racehorse trainers. Sandi has been riding horses since she was three years old and has extensive experience working in racing stables as a stable hand, strapper and track work rider. She was also heavily involved in the equestrian world and competed successfully on off the track horses in showjumping, dressage and showing.
Prior to relocating back to Queensland in early 2023, Sandi was a Police Officer in the Northern Territory Mounted Police Unit, where she trained horses to cope in riot situations, conducted long searches in difficult terrain and carried out mounted patrols in Darwin’s night club precinct.
Sandi has always been an avid supporter of ethical racing and rehoming. She believes in providing a solid foundation of skills which will last throughout a horse’s lifetime. Sandi has taken many horses off the track over the years, retraining them and then going on to compete, winning many state titles before rehoming them into their forever homes.
Sandi continues to grow her retraining business Flynn Equine Solutions, offering retraining, sales preparation and pre-purchase inspections.
“I am passionate and capable. I provide a solid foundation to try and ensure the horses who come into my care have the life skills to keep them in good homes. I have the facilities, the skills and the passion to continue to increase my footprint in the retraining industry. I am excited to be a champion for thoroughbreds, their long term sustainability and ethical care into the future.”
