Our Clubhouse education benefits are resources designed to optimise lifelong racehorse aftercare and promote best practice equine welfare to support retired racehorses in their lives after racing.

 

EQUILIZE HORSE NUTRITION

Clubhouse members will have access to “How to Feed Better. Safer. Smarter". This course has a normal enrolment fee of $199, but Clubhouse members receive a discount and only need to pay $49!

This is a self-paced course with 8 video based learning modules, that run for a total length of 3.5 hours.

Topics include “Focus on Forages” and “Gut Structure and Health”. Once enrolled you will have 12 months to complete the course.

 

EQUITATION SCIENCE INTERNATIONAL

Clubhouse members are given FREE enrolment to 'How Horses Learn', normally costing $79.99.

'How Horses Learn' is an essential one-hour theory-based course for riders, coaches and trainers of all levels and disciplines.

Providing you with a thorough introduction to the behavioural science behind how horses learn, as well as equine ethology and biomechanics. This equine course, 'How Horses Learn', is designed to teach you the fundamentals for successful sustainable horse training.

It is an interesting and enjoyable journey with interactive features, animations and knowledge checks throughout.

Equitation Science International (ESI) strive to modernise horse training with the latest scientific data on the natural behaviour of horses, their learning processes, equine biomechanics, handler and rider effects, and attachment (bond).

When horse training is aligned with these elements, it becomes optimally successful and safe, thus greatly improving horse welfare in equestrian sport.

UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND

QOTT Clubhouse members receive discounted access to the ‘Applying the Five Domains Model to the Welfare Assessment of Sport and Recreation Horses’ online short course.

This course has a normal enrolment fee of $199.00, but QOTT Clubhouse members receive a generous discount and only need to pay $99.00.

The Five Domains Model is the most widely recognised framework for assessing the welfare of animals. By taking this course you will learn how to apply the Model in practice, to identify what is going well for your horse, where there are welfare risks and opportunities for making meaningful improvements to their lived experience.

This self-paced course will teach you how to effectively assess the welfare of sport and recreation horses using the 2020 Five Domains Model. The duration is 25 hours of online study.
