Queensland Off-The-Track proudly introduces Alana Hogan as a QOTT Acknowledged Retrainer.

With over 20 years’ experience in the equestrian world, Alana has built a strong reputation as a passionate and skilled horsewoman. Her journey began in the Arabian horse industry, and soon expanded to Thoroughbreds once she began working as a stable hand and track work rider at a racing stable. Alana's love for the Thoroughbred breed deepened further as she began retraining her own off-the-track horses.

In 2024, Alana took the next step in her career by founding Maryview Park, a boutique equine facility offering horse training, riding lessons and under-saddle starting services. At Maryview Park, she collaborates with her partner, equine veterinarian Dr. Shayne Ross, to provide top-quality care for hospitalised equine patients.

While Alana’s true passion lies in showing, where she has earned success at all levels including Royal and National competitions, she has also competed in and enjoys a wide range of disciplines such as dressage, eventing, cattle work and working equitation.

Alana’s training philosophy centres on providing each horse with a solid foundation both on the ground and under saddle. She is dedicated to ensuring each horse in her care is placed in a suitable long-term home once retraining is complete. With a deep commitment to the welfare of the horses she works with, Alana proudly supports the QOTT Program in helping Thoroughbreds transition into their lives after racing.

Located on 30 acres in the Gympie region at The Palms, Alana’s facility is fully equipped to give horses the best possible start to their new lives post-racing.
