The Queensland Off-The Track Education Program is a resource that aims to optimise racehorse aftercare and promote best practice equine welfare to support retired racehorses in their lives after racing.
Education material has been developed to help guide, support and inform owners and riders of OTT horses on how to care for a retired racehorse and ensure a long and happy partnership between owners and their OTTs.
The QOTT Education Program also provides information to racing industry participants to assist owners, breeders and trainers with preparing a racehorse retirement plan, provide guidance on responsible rehoming and steps to ensure that a racehorse is best placed for future success in their new home.
This page will be continually updated with new education material, so check back regularly for more fact sheets and articles.
