Additional Stabling for Cluden Park

The Townsville Turf Club will soon boast on-course stables at Cluden Park.

The $10 million development will introduce 92 stables distributed across five barns and is expected to create more than 50 jobs during its construction phase. Funded in part by a $7.8 million allocation from the Racing Infrastructure Fund, the project is currently in the design stage and will be delivered by local contractor, A Gabrielli Constructions.

The new facilities, strategically located on the back straight of the racecourse, will include a range of ancillary services such as feed rooms, wash down bays, horse walkers, road access, and sealed parking areas.

The stabling project continues the transformation of Cluden Park in recent years including an up-graded members’ grandstand, sand fibre track and 100 new raceday stalls.

The stabling project will further enhance the club’s reputation as one of the state’s leading training and racing precincts.
