SURFACE TO AIR (2) was a commanding winner here 4 starts back when pressing to the front and keeping the tempo on all the way and posting a 37m victory. Run-down when looking to repeat that at his next start, his chances rest on a mid-race breather and provided he can, than he is up to this.

ROCKONBYE (3) should be able to secure a nice run in transit here and be ready to peel off cover and be looking for the last shot. 3 starts back she did that and closed out in good order to arrive in time. A 2m 2^nd to CHARMS ON A ROLL with the last shot has her ready to swoop late here.

GOVINNI (1) speared out from gate 5 here 2 starts back and once in front controlled the tempo and held on to win by a head. Last start in an Aspirational he found top from gate 2 but the early burn told and he faded. From gate 1 and the absence of any mid-race pressure he can go wire to wire.

BACK PAGE NEWS (8) has placed in 5 of 8 runs since returning from a spell and lands the gate to get the cosy trip. 2 starts back at Redcliffe when sent forward from gate 4 he did some work to find the front and grabbed late to go under by a half-neck. He will be poised for the last shot at the leader.

Taken back from gate 5 last start at Redcliffe he was only 9m from the winner CALCAVADO . With early speed he can be sent forward to take control and will be gripping on.

RARING TO GO (2) strikes his best chance in some time and has been meeting stronger types than he faces off against here. Here on Tues he was taken back from gate 6 and once he was too far back he was going to struggle. Only 2.5m from SAMMYS A KRIDEN 5 runs back he gets every chance here.

FIRE ONE (2) comes into this on a class drop after taking on a Rising Stars series at her past 2 starts. Starting from gate 7 in the heat she went back early and then ran home well to be 8m from the winner. In the final she burned early but was no match for them. This looks ideal and she can go straight to the front to dictate.

BRONZE ECSTASY (1) claimed the bronze 3 starts back in an Aspirational consolation when 7m from the winner after settling in the running line. He wasn’t suited off the 2^nd line last start and from the gate here will get the perfect trail and be ready to take the last shot.
