Trainer Peter Wilson says that the up-and-coming Sister Kirsty will need all her renowned box speed to cope with a tricky draw at Ipswich today.
Youngster Sister Kirsty has flown the boxes in a couple of her career starts which number just five. Sister Kirsty will jump from box 7 in the Ipswich Greyhounds 5th Grade (520m) at 5.58pm.
“She’ll need to start quickly from that box,” Peter said. “It’s a tough draw from that start at Ipswich.”
Sister Kirsty returned from a 42-day break at Albion Park on May 23 and finished second.
“It was just a let-up, there was no injury or anything,” Peter said.
“She’s only a little over two and is still learning. She’s by Smooth Fancy and most of his progeny seem to take a little while until the penny drops.”
