RACE TWO

ARTIKULATE MISS (9) sat in the pocket trail last start and when the leader caved was momentarily held up as ILLAWONG DREAMTIME made a lighting move and pinched the race. Beaten in stronger fields prior to that she scored in a mares qualifier 5 back and can look to sweep over the top here.

FIFTH EDITION (6) was too far back last start from the 2^nd line. Despite the wide gate if able to find position without getting too far back can bob up in a race like this.

RAFFERTY DEIGHTS (1) has the gate to suit his preferred pattern but will find his opponents a touch harder. A passing lane winner 4 starts back, settling in the trail here can see him in the money.

RACE THREE

THE FLOYD (3) is crying out to win a race and lands the perfect opportunity here. He worked hard in the run from gate 7 last start over the 2138m trip at AP when fighting to the line and beaten 4m behind NOVENA ROSE. He has been meeting much harder opponents and gets every chance here.

HERES MY NUMBER (1) lands his best gate for some time and can look to make the most of his opportunity here. Forget his latest start when striking trouble, he worked hard in the breeze from gate 5 the starts prior. With the options he is right in this.

MODERN THOUGHT (7) pressed on to lead them up from gate 5 last start before being gunned down by NOVENA ROSE. A tidy 2^nd behind MICKEE CULLEN 2 starts back she will get a cosy run here.

DIABOLO STAR (8) was hitting the line nicely last start after moving away from the pegs to get into the running line. He is racing well in this grade and can be steaming home again.

RACE FOUR

SAMMARI (1) has now had 3 runs back from a 12 month break and lands the best gate since returning. Tracking home into 3^rd when resuming she started fav 2^nd up when 8m from FAKEROCKNROLL. Her last start was a top effort and from the gate looks the one to beat.

TELLELLA (8) started in red figures last start and had absolutely no luck whatsoever when carted back by tiring runners and then was looking for space. Her last 100m was encouraging was she saw space. A good winner here 3 starts back with the right run she can challenge.

FAKEROCKNROLL (6) was a nice all the way winner here 3 starts back from gate 1 after controlling the tempo in front. His run last start at Tamworth was good and he is in the mix despite the gate.

MAJORESS JUJON (4) was threading a passage last start and was able to get within 1m of the boilover winner. With even luck in transit she is an exotic hope once again.

RACE FIVE

SPLASH OF GOLD (3) took them all the way over this trip 2 starts back after running a nice closing 800m sectional in front and holding on from DARBY BRIGHTS. The tables were turned last start when she finished 3^rd to that filly from the 2^nd line. She can have an early shot and can sneak away with it.

RUFFALO (1) did some work in the run here 3 starts back and went under fighting behind GLENFERRIE BABY. Buried away at his next outing, he made the most of conditions to win at Marburg last start. With the options from the gate, the only concern is the 2040m.

DEADLY ROCKER (7) pressed ahead from gate 6 here 2 starts back and was able to slide in behind the leader which was the winning move. With the cosy trip he will be probing for the openings.

GRINYDONTCHA (5) took them all the way here 2 starts back over the 1780m when holding on to a narrow win. Freshened following that win she returned with a 2m 3^rd to SPLASH OF GOLD and is in the mix here.

RACE SIX

CHEYENNE WARRIOR (4) will be better suited here back to the triangle and in a race that is lacking a stand-out winning hope, he can step up to the plate. Forget his latest run at AP, his previous 2 runs were off 2^nd line gates and driven off the arm he can look for the pegs and to dictate.

BUKTHSYSTEM (7) worked home in good order last start to grab the bronze at Marburg and finish 2m from the winner. His run here 2 starts back had merit when 11m from the winner and with an ounce of luck from this gate can look to get into the money.

GOTOTHEMOON (9) worked home nicely from the 2^nd line here 3 starts back and has been luckless in 2 runs since that. He struck trouble last time out and with even luck can get in the money here.

DALACOS EMPRESS (1) should enjoy a great trip on the pegs here and be ready to offer when the gaps open. Her run 2 starts back from gate 5 was a tidy effort and the gate is a big help.

RACE SEVEN

CHEVALS RACER (8) has been much shaper at his past 2 starts with placings in each. Last time out he was angled to the outside after SPUD had already swept around to the front and set a winning lead. He ate into the margin in the closing stages. Yet to win on the triangle is some concern but he looks to have his chance.

ULTIMATE DAIQUIRI (7) made a winning debut in Aust last time out when starting from this same gate. Sent around the field early to avoid the pocket she was too strong in the run to the line. She likely won’t get that chance here and will be relying on some luck.

GHENT (6) had been building towards something and cashed-in last start in a tough win over the AP mobile mile. He hit the line in good order 2 starts back and is in the mix despite the tough gate.

DAY TOURER (4) set the tempo last start at AP before fading in the closing stages. With good early speed he can look to fire the first shot and back to the triangle will suit.

RACE EIGHT

NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (3) has faced the starter twice at AP for a mixed offering. Her debut was a tidy effort when only 4m from the winner OUR DELIGHT and hitting the line in good order. Forget her last run when making an error behind the smart ESCALERA. She can bounce back.

TORQUE IS MY GIRL (8) has the hoof well and truly on the ‘till and is crying out to win a race. On Sat night in the Triad Consolation she was making good closing ground to grab the silver behind PRESLEYBEGOOD. With even luck she can take this.

ALOT OF COST (5) found the line in good style through a slick closing panel in the C&G Triad Consolation to grab 3^rd behind ROCKNROLL CLASSIC. The gate hurts but is starting to put it together.

BETTOR BECAUSE (7) had no luck in the fillies Triad Consolation on Sat night and was carted back in the run before closing out in good style. She will need some luck from the gate.

RACE NINE

SUBTLE SURPRISE (4) is a first starter from the Don Hancock barn that has been given plenty of trialling education to get her ready for a debut. A half-sister to the handy performer SUBTLE DELIGHT, her latest trial was a nice effort and she strikes a winnable race 1^st up.

UNASSUMING CHAMP (1) has claimed the bronze at each of his past 2 starts with both runs from the 2^nd line. Last time out at Marburg he tracked home nicely with the race taken by the smart MACHITELLI. Returning to the ace gate he gets his chance.

ZED EXPRESS (7) will be fitter following 2 runs back from a break where he has started from wide front line gates in each. His return effort had merit and with the cosy trip here will be ready to strike.

CONTRARY COURAGE (3) steps out in Qld for the 1^st time for trainer Merv Hieronymus. The filly has only started twice in her career and resume since April. Her trial here was sound.
