RACE TWO

BACK PAGE NEWS (1) is winless in 18 months but finally strikes a gate and the opponents to look to turn that around. Buried on the pegs last start from inside the 2^nd line he never got a crack at them. He took on a qualifier 2 starts back when only 10m from the winner and gets his chance here.

JOHNNYCAKE (7) was a real eye-catcher last start when striking trouble at the 1800m and was a long way back. Weaving a passage through the field in the closing 400m he did a good job to be within10m of the winner. With options as the sole 2^nd line runner he is right in this.

MINI MIRACLE (2) had placed in 3 successive runs heading into her latest outing when striking trouble in the run. With good early speed she can have a shot and has some hope.

ROCKWITH THEDEVIL (6) fought hard from the breeze last start to go under a neck in a strong effort. He has no favours from the car-park but if able to slide across cheaply fill the exotics.

RACE THREE

FEEL THE CHARM (4) has started 4 times since returning from a break and been in the money in 3 of the 4. Taken back from gate 6 in a Gold Pot heat 2 starts back she was hitting the line in good order behind NEWPORT DREAMZ and then worked hard holding on for 3^rd in the final. This looks ideal.

MERRYMACH (2) has been no closer than gate 6 at her past 5 starts in a luckless streak. Fitter for this following one run back from a freshen she started fav from gate 10 when 7m from the winner. With the improved gate she can return a sharper effort.

MAYWYN NO REGRETS (5) worked forward from gate 6 at AP 2 starts back and finding the breeze then proved too strong. Covering plenty of extra territory last start, she is in with a show here.
SIXPENNY RED (8) has placed at her past 3 in succession, the latest when running 2^nd to DATITUDE after sitting in the trail. She can follow through early and has place claims.

RACE FOUR

MUCH BETTOR (7) shoots for the hat-trick after successive win at the AP mile with both in impressive fashion. Last start he did it the tough way in the breeze and packed too many guns and that followed a stylish all the way effort. He will need some luck but is progressing nicely.

ULTIMATE AD (1) found the pegs from gate 4 at AP 2 starts back and led them into the stretch as a red figure fav when grabbed in the closing stages. He chased valiantly last start and from the ace gate here can look to go wire to wire and will be gripping on.

DATITUDE (5) has looked impressive in winning 2 of his 3 career starts with the other a 2^nd only beaten a half-head. Returning from a freshen last start he went all the way and won’t be far away here.

MY MAGIC MERLIN (6) hit the line in good order from a long way back last start to grab the bronze. He has no favours from the gate but can do work in his races and is one for the multiples.

RACE FIVE

MR KALYPSO (4) has been super-impressive in 3 starts in Qld and shown versatility to match. Circling them early to find the front off gate 12 last start, he was never in danger in scoring a 10m victory. That followed a tough win from the breeze in good time and he should be too classy.

FRANCO TOTEM (8) put together a hat-trick of victories at AP with 2 of those from wide gates prior to his latest start. Taken to a Marburg stand start event, he missed away and did plenty of work getting around the field to the breeze and fight on gamely to go under a half-neck. The main danger.

SPRING CAMPAIGN (6) had secured his own hat-trick since arriving in Qld with some very nice efforts before going under a head behind LILAC FLASH. Bouncing back to winning form last start, he has no favours from this gate.

DRIVE THE DREAM (2) will be on the short back-up after going around on Wed night. Her run 2 starts back was a tidy effort when 3^rd to CHAPTER ONE and from the gate she is a place hope.

RACE SIX

NONE BETTOR (1) is yet to miss a placing here on the triangle and from this gate that looks set to continue. A qualifying winner 3 starts back when sent straight to the front from gate 2 he has copped gate 7 his past 2 starts. From this alley he can bounce in front and stay there all the way.

ITS JUST KENNY (3) wasn’t far away 3 starts back when resuming from a spell with the effort not reflected in the result. 2^nd up he chased hard when running BELLS BEACH HOUSE to a head and with the added fitness sprinted sharply to score over the mile last start. He can challenge.

ROCK WITH SAM (2) has been freshened since his last outing when he struck trouble in the run and faded out. That followed a strong win in front over the 2138m and he won’t be far away.

JERRYS JET (7) was never in the contest last start from a wide 2^nd line gate and weaving a passage home. That followed a tough run from the breeze and with a soft trip here is in the mix.

RACE SEVEN

OUR MAJOR DAY (5) doesn’t receive any favours from this gate but will find this much easier than his past 2 starts. With his condition just fading 3 starts back when resuming from a break and grabbed on the line, he has taken on some handy types his past 2 and he can overcome the gate.

HARD TO HEAR (8) settled back in the pack 4 runs back and when asked for a sprint really closed out hard in running a sub 55 closing half. Finishing off wide out again when sprinting hard last start for 2^nd to LENNY THE LEGEND and only beaten 1m. He will be looking to work home late.

ITSMEGS (1) finished mid-field last start after being left flat-footed in a slick 3^rd panel but kept finding to the line. An all the way winner 3 starts back from gate 6, she will get a great trip here.

SHILAH (10) will strip fitter from his latest outing when 1^st up in Qld. Finding the pocket trail here over the 2040m he sprinted clear to a tidy win. He will be working home hard here.

TOM ME GUN (2) was a sharp winner over the 2138m trip at AP when 1^st up in Aus, with a power running display from gate 5. A beaten fav at his next 2 starts at the mile and then the middle distance, he was sent for a break. With a sharp trial to open the pipes. He can go all the way.

SOME EXCUSESOMEWHERE (9) was a classy winner over the mile at AP 2 starts back when settling back in the pack and charging home strongly and putting them away for a big win. Only 4m away last start when trying to make ground in a strong last half, he can work home strongly again.

LOORIM LAD (1) makes his Qld debut for Darrel Graham and will be 1^st up from a break. Campaigning in the Riverina he has faced a string of 2^nd line gates and has place claims 1^st up.

UNTITLED (7) pressed on to find the front in a qualifier last start and after setting the tempo over the 2138m couldn’t see it out. The pegs might be the place to be in this and the cosy trip suits.

RACE NINE

EXCEPTIONAL MACH (6) was game in defeat over the mile 2 starts back when doing a stack of work in the run and fighting hard to the line. Last start over the 2138m from gate 7 he was set alight and finding the front held them off in going all the way. He will need to power-up early but is up to the challenge.

OUR MELS DREAM (10) faded out last start after doing the work in the breeze as the fav to finish down the line. He circled early to find the front from gate 7 over the 2138m 2 starts back and went down swinging when 2m from the winner. Watching the speed unfold he can charge home.

COMPLY OR DIE (5) returns from a freshen after a tough run last start when fighting gamely and only beaten 7m. Runner-up at his previous 2 starts he can look to use his early speed to advantage.

SICILIAN SLUMBER (1) worked home in good order at AP on Tues when mid-field behind THE CHARGING MOA from the 2^nd line. He will get the perfect trip here and can make a closing shot.
