Two Races Transferred – Ipswich Turf Club from Tuesday 16/10 to Friday 19/10 & One Race Distance Cha

RQ confirms that following the abandonment of the (replacement) race meeting at Ipswich TC on Tuesday 16 October, the following race fields have been transferred to the club’s race meeting on Friday 19 October:

• QTIS 3YO Maiden Plate 1200m (was Race 3 at 16 October ITC meeting).  $20k + QTIS bonuses
• QTIS 3YO Maiden Plate 1200m (was Race 4 at 16 October ITC meeting).  $20k + QTIS bonuses

The same fields in both of these races have been retained in their entirety with scratchings reinstated.

For the purposes of apprentice claim categories and in accordance with the Rules of Racing, these two races will be run with Provincial status.

To ensure that there are no potential safety issues with the racing surface (near the crossing area) at the Friday 19 October meeting, there has been a change to the distance of the following race on the program:

• Class 1 Handicap – was originally 1666m, subsequently amended to 1500m & is now 1350m.

The connections of any horse in the race with the amended distance are able to withdraw their nomination without incurring applicable fees as a consequence of the change.

The race meeting at Ipswich TC on 19 October will now comprise a nine race card.
