RACE TWO

MISTERRIODEJANEIRO (2) never got a crack at them here 2 starts back and went to the line with plenty to offer when within 6m of the winner. Last start at Marburg he was unsuited off the 2^nd line but there was still plenty to like about the run. With an improved gate he can look to cash-in.

SACHE GIRL (1) found the pocket trail from gate 3 here 3 starts back when resuming from a break and wasn’t entirely comfortable when finishing mid-field. She hit the line in nice style here 2 starts back off a 2^nd line gate and with the options from this alley she will be right in the fight.

BRASS LANTERN (7) is winless since August of 2017 however his past few starts have been encouraging when drawn inside the 2^nd line. He should get a nice trip from this gate and can look for a podium finish.

SHADOW HUNTER (6) has the tough gate to negotiate yet he is in nice touch and can look to chime into the exotics. A winner from gate 8 here 4 starts back he can be thereabouts.

RACE THREE

JESTER OH JESTER (2) has been crying out to land a marble after his past 5 have all been from wide gates. From inside the 2^nd line last start he was locked away in the run and chased hard behind ANOTHER BROADWAY. His run at Armidale 3 starts back was a real eye-catcher and hustled out to find the pegs can look to end a 12 month winless streak.

ELENIARK (8) is the class runner of the field however has gate 8 to overcome and is 1^st up since July without a public trial. She chased gamely last start in the Patrons Purse which followed a luckless run in the 4YO Championship. If forward enough she is a big danger in this.

KARLOO MAC (1) released the front here last week in a non-TAB event and was within 10m of the winner ILLAWONG DREAMTIME in slick time. From the gate he can get a perfect trip and be ready to take his shot when the gaps open.

ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (7) was 2^nd up from a break last start when finishing over the top in a small field to claim a tidy win. His return run was a sound effort behind the airborne LILAC FLASH and he has claims here.

RACE FOUR

NEWPORT DREAMZ (9) shoots for the hat-trick after successive wins here on the triangle with both when landing gate 1 and leading throughout. Last start he ran home a slick closing 800m without being tested and scoring a comfortable 9m margin. The 2^nd line dents his hopes somewhat, but he is a classy performer working back and is up to the task.

TRILIGHT BRIGADE (8) will take great benefit from her latest outing when 1^st up in Qld and having her 1^st run in 46 days. Settling in the 1x1 over the 1780m trip she closed out strongly from gate 4 to arrive for a neck margin over TOM ME GUN in strong time. With even luck in transit she will be right in the fight.

GOT THE GOODS (3) is a last start winner over this trip after going back from gate 5 and then finishing best after being wide off the track to arrive for a head victory. Gunned down 2 back he can look for the pegs here and will be trying to stave off the challengers.

OUR PEPPERJACK (1) pressed on from gate 1 to find the front over the 2040m trip last start and once in control packed too many guns to score a 2m victory. This is harder than recent outings but has that offset by the gate.

RACE FIVE

SOMEROSESOMEWHERE (1) was having her 2^nd Qld last in a mares qualifier last time out and pressing on to find the front took control and scored an easy 7m victory. Run down in strong time and only a half-head off victory at Tamworth 3 starts back, despite this being slightly tougher she can look to dictate here.

MARETTI (4) resumes from a spell to kick-off his 5YO term and was given a solid trial to open the pipes and prepare for his return. His 4YO season was strong and produced 7 wins and some impressive performances including a 2^nd in the Triad Final. He can throw down  big challenge here and start the season with a bang.
 
MACHIN OUT (2) was a nice winner here 3 starts back when finishing over the top to score in good style. Beaten behind some handy ones his past 2, he can look to drop down to the pegs and with a cosy trip run on to fill the minors.

RACE SIX

NEEDLE (6) has the tricky gate to overcome but will be fitter following her latest outing when 2^nd up from a break and with the class edge can look to cash-in. Runner-up at both starts since resuming from a break, both return runs have been from the mobile. Beaten a half-head by OUR OVERANOVA last start after setting the tempo in front in a new Redcliffe track record, she can bounce back here.

MAYBETOTHEMAX (5) was in the pocket trail behind NEEDLE in that track record run and chased gamely to be under 4m from the winner to claim the bronze. He worked hard in the run last start over the 2613m trip and with tidy figures from the mobile can look to challenge.

HELLBOUND (4) wasn’t suited here last start when buried away in the run after starting from a 50m tape over the 2613m trip. Snagged back at AP 2 starts back from gate 4, he can be an improver.

MISTER OZ (2) has placed his past 2 starts with the latest from the mobile when chasing hard to be 6m from the winner ASTRAL RULER. That followed the silver from a 40m tape and from this alley he can be in the mix.

RACE SEVEN

ELLIOTT BROMAC (4) rolled forward to the breeze before receiving cover here last start in a much stronger race than this. Working home in good order he was within 2.5m of the winner ANOTHER BROADWAY to claim the bronze. His run 3 starts back was a tidy effort when chasing hard after snagging back from gate 6 and in this line-up he can look to end a long winless streak.
 
HOT ROD HEAVEN (5) scored victory in a qualifier at AP 4 starts back when hitting the line strongly from back in the pack. He followed that with a top effort from gate 7 when keen in the run and things not going his way but was still only 4m from the winner. Forget his last start, he can be right in the fight here.

SOLDIER OF FORTUNE (3) looked to get across from gate 3 at Marburg last start but with no lead was forced to face the breeze. He hasn’t been too far off of late without getting conditions to suit and with the speed to have a look for the pegs can look to take control here.
