Racing Queensland and the Townsville Greyhound Racing Club have negotiated a Friday night timeslot for the 2019 Group 3 Townsville Cup. The Final will be run on Friday 26 July to coincide with the Townsville Cup thoroughbred meeting on Saturday 27 July.
The Townsville Cup heats will be run on Friday 19 July in the twilight timeslot. Nominations close on Friday 12 July at 9:30am. The annual Townsville Cup Calcutta will be held at the Bohle Barn Hotel Motel on Saturday 13 July with draws and auctioning commencing at 7pm.
To accommodate the Friday timeslots for Townsville, the regular Ipswich Friday meetings will be conducted on Wednesday night, and the regular Rockhampton Wednesday meetings will be conducted on Tuesday night.

During this period, trials at Townsville will be conducted on Thursday 11 July, Monday 15 July, and Monday 22 July.
