Race 1 - 11:53AM TAB Fillies and Mares BENCHMARK 85 Handicap (1200 METRES)

1st - La Scope - Matthew Dunn - Jim Byrne

2nd - Smug Satisfaction - Michael Costa - Jake Bayliss

3rd - Jay Jay D'ar - Chris Waller - Michael Cahill

"I was very confident mid race, the two favourites put some nice speed into it and we were able to roll of their backs at the top of the straight."

"We want to head towards the Kosciuszko with her and a number of other of our horses as well."

"Unfortunately all the slots are filled, but I'm reliably informed slots can free up closer to the race due to a wet track or any number of reasons."

"If we can't get her into the race we're more than happy to keep her going up here, she's started her prep really well and clearly enjoys racing in Queensland."

"It was a bit of a messy race on paper but I was able to get that nice cart into it and with a little bit of give in the ground today she really enjoyed it."

“We’ll tip her out now, she’s shown us enough this time in to move forward with and she’ll be back bigger and better in six months’ time.”

“Really pleased to go out winning, she’s a five-year-old, but she’s still maturing and hopefully winning in this class will give her a boost to tackle some tougher races next time in.”

“I was never concerned even when we were six lengths off them at the top of the straight, she’s ridden best cold and Michael gave her a great ride switching her off and not hitting go too quickly.”

“It was fifty fifty to run in the Lismore Cup mid week, but she’s been so close to a metro win and with the good prize money of offer up here we thought we’d stick with the metropolitan racing.”

“She’s an out and out stayer distance will never be the issue for her and she can get through a wet track too, we don’t get too many of them up here so we might start to go looking for something bigger next prep.”

“I had a chat with Toby and with only the small field we thought she’d do her best racing ridden cold and she warmed into in really nicely.”

"I didn't expect Profit to go forward the plan was to drop out the back, so I'll be keen to see what Mark had to say."

"Take nothing away from Guntantes he was excellent, really good to see him run out a strong mile, but Profit has lost no admirers carrying 59 kilos over the trip for the first time."

"We were planning on taking Profit to Sydney, but might has to re-access depending on how he pulls up."

Nick Keal - "When I looked outside and saw Profit I thought what is he doing here, he gave us cover throughout which played into our hands."

"He ran the mile out well, he wanted to lay in a bit in the straight he did it pretty easy in the end."

Mark Du Plessis - "The way he went through the line I don't think he'll have any issues getting further."

“He bounced out the best he ever has track work or race day and with only the stable mate challenging for the lead I thought it was a good opportunity to roll forward from the outside gate.”

“He was switched on, he had his ears pricked at the start and travelled strongly throughout and there is no doubt he can run out the mile, he never gave in the weights just got him in the end.”

"To the eye her first up run at Ipswich looked a little plain, but going back a accessing the race it was a super effort to pick up ground off a slow speed and she needs further than the 1350 as well."

"She bounced off that run really nicely and her work has been really good throughout the week, so we came in with a fiar bit of confidence today."

"She travelled sweetly and looked the winner a long way from home I thought, I think she's come back a bit bigger and stronger mare this time around and can really make some strides this prep."

"She's a filly that as long as you give her some room and bring her out she finishes well."

"I had a lovely spot on her midfield the fence and just needed to get out and once she got clear it was all over."

"She was coming off a nice win down the Coast, but she stepped into a pretty nice Saturday race and really aimed up."

"The run we had in transit was ideal, it went all to plan we were able to get the back of Jagged Edge and even though the margin was tight she put them away fairly easy."

"She was finishing off very well, she's got a high cruising speed and we were able to wear down Pizonie on the nice big track."

Race 6 - 2:48PM CANADIAN CLUB RATINGS BAND 0 - 75 Handicap (1835 METRES)

"This is our second prep with him and he's really started to come on, we couldn't work him out for a while, but we've just continued to try to place him right and the penny has dropped."

"He came up to us from Godolphin as a class one and we've managed to win a few races with him."

"The 1600 wasn't ideal for us last start, but he hit the line really well and thought he would be primed for this race."

"I've used Jake (Bayliss) before and he's always done well by us, he's a good young rider I'm always happy to have him on."

"I've got a lot of respect for Mr. Lee, when I came back to Queensland and was trying to find my feet in the Queensland riding ranks he really stood by me and gave me these opportunities, I'm rapt I can repay the faith."

"We were looking to be in the first four or five without much speed on paper, but the tempo wasn't too bad."

"He's a horse you have to get to work on early and we got a beautiful drag behind the favourite who boxed on well but we had a bit more in the tank late."

"Last week he copped a couple of checks coming off the turn and stuck on really well, coming to the bigger track here today he took his time and finished off strong."

"We were a bit weary of the seven day back up, but the race looked really nice for him and he was bouncing around during the week and brought that here today."

"He's a big horse, but that's just the family he carries a bit of weight."

"We'd probably prefer Melbourne over Sydney, there are plenty of suitable races in both states but it will probably come down to where we can find a dry treck, he doesn't like the wet."

"I just said to Nick you be the judge don't drive him out, just let him come back to you."

"Kubis was getting left alone but I thought it was a solid enough gallop down the back and at Eagle Farm they all get their chance, I saw Nick was getting itchy at the 600 metres and just prayed that he stayed in."

"It was a gem of a ride and he deserves all the accolades."

"He'll go South now I thought that was a really solid race today, Kubis was Stakes placed last prep and you had Winning Ways a Group One winner in the race, there was a lot of merit in that win."

"The way he did it, he didn't get in on the minimum and ran over the top of them off a steady speed."

"i was getting a bit itchy nothing had taken off and Kubis had it his own way out in front, but he gives you plenty when he goes through the gears."

"He's a new and a very welcome addition to the stable, I thought Robbie Fradd rode him a treat used a bit early and I was a little bit worried when we hit the front because it's been a day for the swoopers, but he kicked strongly."

"Very encouraging seeing him do this first up for the stable on that performance we've got something to work with."

"He was quite wound up for today he trialled very forward Rob (Heathcote) has done a great job with the horse and i think he might have opened his shoulders because there was a fair bit of support for the horse."

"I rode him at Ipswich last prep and immediately had the impression he was really quick and Chris and Rob have put the polish on and he looks like he's in for a big prep."
