Trainer - Robert Heathcote

"It's a hell of a cheer you could compare it to a Stradbroke when they rounded the turn, the partnership with MiRunners and Racing Queensland has been a revelation there's a lot of happy owners and a happy trainer too."

"We're in The Millions now we've just got to hope she pulls up well, I'll probably give her a little freshen up now with five or six weeks to the Millions and decide if we're going to run her one more time before the race."

Jockey - Dale Smith

"She just did everything right today, flew the lids, didn't over race and found plenty when I asked her for it she's an exciting prospect."

"The best thing about it is she's leanring on the job she's still on the green sign and is managing to overcome that and win races."

"I can't wait until something really challenges her because when Tom Button's horse came up a length of two off us she kicked and if she was challenged again she had plenty left."

"The 1200 is far from beyond her she was going as strong through the line as at any point she's on target for the Millions."

Trainer - John Holcombe

"It's worth a couple of lengths to draw the inside off the 1600 metre star at Doomben, Luke (Tarrant) tucked him away and gave him a soft trip."

"We gave him some hope we didn't feel the field was too deep and he's been working well at home so it's not a complete surprise."

"We'll see how he pulls up, he's struggling with the heat a little bit and at four I'd like to think his best racing's in front of him, so he might be due for a break soon."

"Really pleasing to knock one off with him he's run a lot of seconds and it's a nice way to round out a long prep."

Jockey - Luke Tarrant

"We had the good gate so it was always the plan to do as little work as possible, coupled with no weight on his back once the gap came it was all over."

"He sprinted really well if the race was another furlong he would have won by a gap."

Trainer - Damien Finter

"We left Friday morning from Mt Isa we thought it would be pretty hot so we took off at about 4am and pulled up at 1pm, got up and did the same thing the next day."

"He's a beautiful traveller he relaxes and as long as he's at the back of the float he's happy."

"We gave him a good chance here today Dan (Ballard) knows the horse and gave him a beautiful ride and things panned out well."

"We don't give Dan (Ballard) any instructions he knows the horse inside and out and found a way to get it done today."

"He's been carrying bit weights out West he won with 65 kilos on his back last start so the 60kg today was almost a lightweight for him."

"I work in the mines and only have two or three in work at a time, after finishing second in the Battle of the Bush I'm just thrilled to see him go one better and give me a winner in Brisbane."

Jockey - Dan Ballard

"He's a magnificent horse and it's a real pleasure to be a part of it, his owners embody everything about country racing and Damien (Finter) knows his horses inside out and when he gets one with a bit of quality about it you see these results."

"He's very consistent on the days he's been beat he's either ready for a spell or something goes amiss, it's apleasure to ride him."

"It didn't pan out how I anticiapted, being his firs trip at the mile I wanted a few more in front of us, but he's a warrior and even though we got there a bit early he kept lifting."

Trainer - Tony Gollan

"I really like this horse I thought he was bitterly unlucky at the Sunshine Coast last start where he blew his chances at the start."

"He redeemed himself today and flew the lids at the start and it was a good show of sustained speed."

"It's never easy to win these races the Winning Rupert is a race horses can really kick off and hopefully we see that in the Gold Ambition in two weeks time."

"I'd love to say he'd go to the Magic Millions Guineas, but 1400 metres might be a bit beyond him."

"We gelded him last spell and he's come back a much more mature horse that's going places."

Jockey - Matthew McGillivray

"I was a bit worried early he was a bit keen mouth open and throwing his head around, but he settled down after a couple of hundred metres and considering how fast we went early it was pretty impressive to see him keep going."

"Ridden differently I can defintely see him getting to the 1400, he was flat to the boards late today but that was just how the race was run.'

Trainer - Chris Anderson

"That was one of Mark's (Du Plessis) best today, we were uming and ahing if we were going to put her in today or trial on Tuesday, but we've got a really definitive plan going forward and wanted to stick to that."

"We hoped the speed inside us would take us to the spot we wanted to land in and it worked out, I'd said to the team she was more a hope than anything today, but horse and jockey got it done."

"She's just tries so hard every time she goes out and that's what we love about her, the great thing with her is she keeps improving into her preparations so to do this first up in an aominous warning of what might be to come."

"There's a nice four-year-old QTIS race here in a fortnight then another two weeks into a Stakes race and two weeks into the Magic Millions QTIS race we couldn't be more excited."

Jockey - Mark Du Plessis

"I'll take the plaudits of a great ride from the barrier, but sometimes you've jus got to hope things work out and we landed just where we wanted to today."

"She peaked on her run about fifty out, but she's got a lot of fight in her and didn't give an inch to the line."

3rd - Fighting Teo - Kevin Kemp - Adin Thompson

Trainer - Tony Gollan

"He was well placed in the Benchmark 90 today and I was really keen for him to take up a position three of four pairs back which Baylee did and when he produced him I thought he was going to win by a bit further than he did, but he got there."

"It was a good effort he's beaten a horse (Dawson Diva) who's run second in a Group One, that's a fair scalp."

"He needed to step up and win but he has always been in very tough races, he ran second in the Rough Habit here and that form is pretty good for a Benchmark 90."

"Hopefully this kickstarts his summer which culminates in the stayers race at Magic Millions."

Jockey - Baylee Nothdurft

"We got in third fourth pair one off the fence where we wanted to be, he made hard work of it but he got the win and hopefully that gives him some confidence going forward."

"He's known for not winning but when the other horse came up to me he really stuck his head out and had a go."

"The further the better for him I'm looking forward to the 2400 metres on Magic Millions day."

Trainer - Tony Gollan

"Terrific win by this filly she's been brilliant since she's come back and stepping up to 1200 metres today with a bit of pressure on her in the run to kick clear was really something."

"I started her at the 1200 her first start and she got beat after being about $1.01 in the run which had me a bit hesitant to get her back up, but she handled it beautifully today."

"She's a lovely big striding filly and has the pedigree to enjoy the trip, so it was probably jus trainer error first up."

"I hope she draws a good gate when she gets into much stronger races, but she's got good speed throughout and is an exciting filly going forward."

"We'll go to the Gold Edition in a fortnight and decide what to do after that."

Jockey - Stephanie Thornton

"I was fortunate being able to claim at 54 kilos and ride her last start and to step up to the 1200 in town and win again is a big thrilll."

"She hadn't produced her form over the 1200 until today, but the ground was soft last start and I thought back on top of it today there wasn't a better time to tackle it."

"The gate was my biggest query whether she could overcome that and do it at both ends and she did that.'

1st - Chapter and Verse - Desleigh Forster - Mark Du Plessis

Trainer - Desleigh Forster

"He was coming like a train and he knew where that post was he stuck his head out and won a Group Three."

"He got shuffled back in the run, but once he got out wide with the other winnign chances I knew he'd be in the finish the way he can let down."

"The weights were defintely in his favour today the only concern was the 1200 metres, but he found a way I couldn't be more proud to win this race with this horse."

"I paid about $25,000 for him and he's won a $600,000 race at Magic Millions earlier this year and now has a Group Three to his mantle and you can bet we'll be at the Gold Coast in the new year."

Jockey - Mark Du Plessis

"Not everything went to plan in the run but when you get this horse to the outside he can flat out fly, I thought we got the head down but I wasn't sure, it was a hell of a run."

"No-one is more passionate than Desleigh, she's been my number one supporter from day dot and to reward her with another big race on this horse is fantastic."

Trainer - Matthew Dunn

"I think maturity has been the key to his success this preparation, he's much more professional in how he carries himself and that can be seen with results like today."

"We've been careful to space his runs and place him where we think he can succeed and there's no reason he can't keep winning."

"She's (Steph Thornton) doing all the things good jockeys do and to have her ride with a claim is a real bonus."

Jockey - Steph Thornton

"He raced really well on speed last start, but there was a bit more pace in the race today so I was happy not to lead and just be handy and he did the rest."

"He knew he had them covered a way out, he floated a little bit but he's just an honest horse who knew he'd done his job."

"I couldn't be more thankful for the opportunities I'm getting from the trainers up here, today was special getting my first win on a Listed horse and i hope I can keep repaying the faith."
