Following the calling off of the Brisbane RC race meeting at Doomben today, Friday 13 December, the two Black Type Races on the program the Phelan Ready Stakes and the Calaway Gal Stakes have been transferred to the club’s race meeting on Wednesday 18 December. The same fields have been retained and scratchings for the two races have been reinstated.
The remaining two races on the program which were lost have been abandoned, however trainers are reminded that under the auspices of LR.36, horses denied the opportunity to race through the abandonment of those races specifically are able to be nominated for any race for which acceptances have yet to close.
As the two lost races were also legs of the TAB Origin Jockey Series, in accordance with the conditions of the series those races will not be considered for points accumulation purposes. Given this, the series will now comprise the one race run at Doomben today and the two remaining races at Eagle Farm tomorrow, Saturday 14 December.
