Racing Queensland has advised that tomorrow’s thoroughbred meeting at Aquis Beaudesert is still scheduled to proceed, subject to a negative COVID-19 test pertaining to an inter-state jockey.
RQ will advise stakeholders prior to scratching time as to whether the meeting will proceed or be abandoned.
Today’s meeting at the Toowoomba Turf Club was abandoned whilst results were pending.
Whilst the participant is not currently displaying any symptoms of COVID-19, he recently shared a commercial flight on Thursday, March 12 which carried another passenger who has since tested positive to the virus and was subsequently contacted by health authorities.
