RACE TWO

WILL THE WIZARD (1) returns from a break for his 2nd 3YO campaign. Facing the starter on 6 occasions when returning for his 1st 3YO prep, he missed the money just one occasion. Grabbed in the closing stages at his last start when 2m in arrears of the winner LEFT A TERROR, he has opened the pipes in good order at the trials and from the gate can return in style.

BOMBADIER JUJON (6) will face the starter for just the 2nd time here at The Creek, with his other 4 career starts all at Redcliffe. 2nd up from a break last time, he was sent to the breeze from the 2nd line gate over the 1780m, proving too strong in claiming the win. The gate hurts, but he can arrive.

ANOTHER STATEMENT (2) set the tempo last start from gate 1 over this trip, setting it up for a slick last panel. Beaten a head by TRUE STEPPER, he will strip fitter and is right in the fight here.

BETTERTHANDIAMONDS (5) will look to keep her 3YO undefeated record in-tact after returning with a pair of smart wins when leading throughout in each. The rise to the 2138m is the query, but if she can settle, a win would not surprise.

SELECTIONS: WILL THE WIZARD (1), BOMBADIER JUJON (6), ANOTHER STATEMENT (2), BETTERTHANDIAMONDS (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

LAUGHING EMOJI (2) claimed a mares qualifier 3 starts back when leading all the way over the mile, laying down a sub 1.54.0 run in the process. Settling in the trail last 2 starts back she chased for the silver when 4m from the winner KOTIRO. Not suited last start, she has the early options to arrive.

DATITUDE (10) had to settle for the silver last start when lining up in search of 4 successive wins. Taking them all the way over the mile, not even a sub 27 opener was enough to stop him scoring a threepeat of wins 2 runs back. Only beaten a head last time, the query is the 2138m, but he is in great touch.

ARK ME (3) released the speed last time in opting for the trail and then was 5m in arrears of the front-running winner CELTIC CRUZA. ^m from DATITUDE here 3 runs back, she won’t be far away.

SPECIAL RESERVE (7) finished best to arrive for a mares qualifying victory here last start after easing back from gate 6 at the start. The gate stings again, yet she can be working home late.

SELECTIONS: LAUGHING EMOJI (2), DATITUDE (10), ARK ME (3), SPECIAL RESERVE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: LAUGHING EMOJI (2) to win

RACE FOUR

VENUS JUJON (6)
found the front last start over the mile and kept an even tempo. As they levelled out for the run to the judge, she was worried out of the prize by THE MONEY BALL who had sat outside her throughout, beaten an eyelash. Only 2m from the winner after doing all the work 2 starts back, she can look to out-last them here.

OCEANSIDE (1) has been runner-up at his past 3 in succession, all at Redcliffe as he moves closer to a maiden breaking win. From the pocket trail last start he was best of the chasers behind the big winner CHROMOZONE. With a cosy trip on offer, he can be ready to make the closing moves.

OUR RIDGY DIDGE (10) landed a wide front-line gate at Marburg last start and after easing back early was wide for a long way coming home. His previous runs were good and despite the gate he has claims.

VOODOO FELLA (2) was sent to the pegs last start hoping for some luck and short-cuts when closing well to be 8m from the winner ALL GOOD WALLY. With early speed, he can utilise the gate.

SELECTIONS: VENUS JUJON (6), OCEANSIDE (1), OUR RIDGY DIDGE (10), VOODOO FELLA (2)
SUGGESTED BET: VENUS JUJON (6) to win

RACE FIVE

COUNTRY RUN (6) sat in the pocket trail last start at Marburg with the leader and winner dictating the play, including a slick closing 800m panel. With no room to work free, he went to the line probing for a gap that never arrived. In an open contest, he might just be able to pinch this.

THE RAGNBONE MAN (3) was a winner here 5 starts back when sent to the front from gate 2 and then leading throughout to claim a new career PB at win number 3. With 3 of his past 4 starts from unsuitable gates, he can make the most of the improved alley and fire the 1st shot as the arms release.
SIR JUJON (7) doesn’t receive many favours from this gate and will be relying on some luck in transit. Working hard in the run last start at Redcliffe from a tough gate, he is place hope.

JUST ONE GOOD ONE (10) was forced to race wide for the last lap at Marburg last time out and the effort was sound under the circumstances. With the right early trail, he can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: COUNTRY RUN (6), THE RAGNBONE MAN (3), SIR JUJON (7), JUST ONE GOOD ONE (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

SOMEHOWSOMEWAY (1) started from outside the 2nd line at Marburg last time when covering plenty of the tight oval when wide for a long way. A horse that has been besieged with bad gates, he final lands a marble and with the speed to lead, gets every chance to capitalise in this line-up.

ALL GOOD WALLY (8) led them up over the sprint trip at Redcliffe 2 starts back when nabbed in the closing stages. Eased back from gate 5 over the mile here last start, he was finishing the best to arrive for a 3m victory. With the economical trip from this gate, he will be coiled to strike.

SIGNOR JUJON (2) has placed in 3 of his past 5 starts, the latest when holding on for the bronze behind ALL GOOD WALLY. Starting in red figures on that occasion, he might need to roll the sleeves again here.

STORM GILBERT (7) started from gate 6 last time at Redcliffe when easing forward to find position and then worked home for 3rd in the same race as ALL GOOD WALLY was pipped. The wide gate hurts, but he can chime in again.

SELECTIONS: SOMEHOWSOMEWAY (1), ALL GOOD WALLY (8), SIGNOR JUJON (2), STORM GILBERT (7)
SUGGESTED BET: SOMEHOWSOMEWAY (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

JANSSON (5) will take good benefit from his 1st Qld appearance at Marburg last time out when sent to the post as fav and in for the fight when holding on for 2nd over the mobile 1850m. Still searching for his 1st Aus victory in his 3rd barn since arriving from NZ, he finds the right conditions to open the account.

EL SWAVO (3) started from the 20m tape last start when finding the pocket trail and not finishing too far from the winner IS SOMETHINGBURNING. Placed in 3 of his previous 4 starts, he normally has good manners at release and moving back to the front line in this company, can challenge at career start 100.

I ASKED NICELY (7) will make his 1st outing in Qld, resuming from a break after last facing the starter in November at Menangle. Joining the Travis Mackay barn, he is a trotter that has had tractability issues, however in 2 local trials, looks to have overcome the issues and stays under watch.

THE REAPER (8) made an uncharacteristic error last week when returning after a 6-week break that ended his chances. Not far away 2 starts back, he can atone for his misdemeanours here.

SELECTIONS: JANSSON (5), EL SWAVO (3), I ASKED NICELY (7), THE REAPER (8)
SUGGESTED BET: JANSSON (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

TALENT TO SPARE (2) franked her trial form when scoring an impressive win on debut, leading all the way with a sharp closing 800m carved out in front. Kept fresh since that Mar 17 victory, she was at the trials on Apr 28 when dominating them in emphatic style. This looks at her mercy.

DYNAMIC DAN (1) was a debut winner at Redcliffe when rolling forward from gate 5 and laying it down in the breeze to score by the narrowest of margins. Eased away from the inside last start, he didn’t have the cleanest passage when back in the pack behind MY CHINA DOLL. The gate suits.

MY CHINA DOLL (5) became the 1st 2YO for the season to win at both AP and Redcliffe when proving too strong from gate 5 at the triangle last start. A winner here 3 starts back, she can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: TALENT TO SPARE (2), DYNAMIC DAN (1), MY CHINA DOLL (5)
SUGGESTED BET: TALENT TO SPARE (2) to win

RACE NINE

SHEGOTSASS (4) dominated her age group last season, winning 6 of the 7 starts, missing out on a perfect season when runner-up in the Springboard Final. Doing a good job against the older horses this season since returning, she split a win here 3 starts back with ARNOLD and back to her own age off equal terms, looks to have a firm grasp on this contest.

FIRST OFFENCE (3) had a two-start prep when returning to kick-off his 3YO season, returning a smart effort 1st up against the older horses. With a pair of trials in readiness for his latest return, he will appreciate meeting his fellow 3YOs and is the danger, if there is one.

AURORA (2) is a Lucky Chucky filly on debut for Terry Hancock. The 1st foal to race from the mare, she trialled in nice style at her 1st run since arriving, after a series of trials in NSW.

NO LOVE ABOUT IT (1) was in the money at all 8 of his starts during his 2YO term, scoring a win at his last run for the season. Not at his best in a 2 start prep in January, he can improve.

SELECTIONS: SHEGOTSASS (4), FIRST OFFENCE (3), AURORA (2), NO LOVE ABOUT IT (1)
SUGGESTED BET:
