RACE TWO
SAM IS PERFECTION (1) was strong to the line last start when the widest runner turning for home. In a race where no moves came until the 300m, he slid up and did well to get within 4m of the winner DAPPER. The run prior was solid at Redcliffe when wide off the track and with what looks the perfect trip, can make the closing shot a winner. STREET APPEAL (2) was stamped urgent off the arm last week from gate 7, to take on the lamp lighting duties. Rolling in front, he was tired in the stretch, but the chasers could not pick him up as he scored an all the way win. Rolling in front is right in the wheelhouse for him and he will look to repeat. CAUTIVAR (9) secured the perfect trip last start and when the passing lane presented he was able to shoot through to claim a 3m qualifying victory. He will need a slice of luck from this gate now he moves to inside the 2nd line. COURAGEOUS SAINT (5) was obliged to work wide from gate 6 in pressing forward to find the breeze as the fav over the mile here on Tues. Unable to pick them up, he could only manage a mid-field finish. Buried away here last Saturday night, he is a podium chance from this gate. SELECTIONS: SAM IS PERFECTION (1), STREET APPEAL (2), CAUTIVAR (9), COURAGEOUS SAINT (5) SUGGESTED BET: SAM IS PERFECTION (1) - Exotics 1-2-5-9
RACE THREE
COLT THIRTY ONE (7) eased from gate 6 over this trip last start when making a closing dive to be 1m from the winner ASHLEY LOCAZ. 2 starts back he made the closing shot a winning one when having bullets to fire after a sustained run to claim a career PB win rate. The gate hurts, but with the opportunity to press forward and stay ahead of the main dangers, he can make it win 41. OUR UNCLE SAM (10) is back firing and last start was asked to toil in the breeze. Up to the challenge, he continued to give deep into the stretch when 1.5m from the winner ASHLEY LOCAZ. A big winner in slick time 2 starts back at Redcliffe when working wide off the track, he can feature again here. SECRETAGENT TYCOON (5) steps up against some of the big hitters here and can use his gate to fire a few across the bow early. 6m from UNCLE JORD last start from the 2nd line, he was only a head away here 2 starts back behind ROCK WITH SAM. He can run a race in this. TURN IT UP (11) is the query runner, stepping out to race for the 1st time since June 2019. Never finishing beyond 2nd in 15 starts, 11 of those have been victories. A last start Jewels Group 1 winner, 3 starts back he was runner-up in the Auckland Cup. Big watch fresh.
SELECTIONS: COLT THIRTY ONE (7), OUR UNCLE SAM (10), SECRETAGENT TYCOON (5), TURN IT UP (11) SUGGESTED BET: COLT THIRTY ONE (7) to win
RACE FOUR There looks some early tempo here and how much pepper there is could sort some of these out. If able to muster the speed to get across, IMASPORTSSTAR (3) might just be able to sneak away in front. A winner over this trip when leading all the way from this gate 2 starts back in strong time with a slick last 800m, he was not disgraced from gate 7 last start. He looks up to it. SOMWHEREOVARAINBOW (1) has been out of the winner’s circle for some time yet is slowly working his way back to form. Runner-up to COURAGEOUS SAINT 3 starts back when grinding out a strong 2138, he was again obliged to roll the sleeves last start. With an easier trip he can challenge. HURRICANE ROY (10) shoots for the hat-trick after successive Redcliffe victories. Pressing forward to take control over the 2040m trip last start, he was never in danger in a strong closing 800m. The gate stings but he can swoop. SQUIRE (9) rolled forward here on Tuesday to find position from gate 5 prior to receiving cover and then finishing a 6m 3rd behind JUST ROKIN. Tough in the breeze the start prior, he is nearing a win when conditions suit.
SELECTIONS: IMASPORTSSTAR (3), SOMWHEREOVARAINBOW (1), HURRICANE ROY (10), SQUIRE (9) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE FIVE
MAJOR MUCHA (5) should just find this easier than what he has been squaring off against in recent outings and despite the yellow rug, can arrive in time. Making a strong dive in the stretch here on Tuesday, he was only a head from the winner VIRGIL. Sent forward from gate 6 the start prior, this looks within his reach. MY SECRET BEACH (9) continues a rough streak with barriers as he searches for an overdue breakthrough. Snagged back at Marburg on Monday from outside the front line, the run was full of merit when making ground wide out on the tight track. Sticking to the pegs here last week, it was a nice effort and if a rub of the green should come his way, he can challenge. EARL JUJON (7) has another tough gate after starting just one position closer last week. Easing to find position in that event, he was making good ground in the closing stages when 7m from the winner OYSTER STRIDE. He is a podium chance. JOVIAL JULIE (1) steps up here but has secured the gate to giver her every hope. Capitalising from gate 1 last start at Redcliffe in leading all the way when 2nd up from a break, she has the options.
SELECTIONS: MAJOR MUCHA (5), MY SECRET BEACH (9), EARL JUJON (7), JOVIAL JULIE (1) SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR MUCHA (5) to win
RACE SIX It might only be a small field over the mile but two things from this race are that nearly the whole field have been without a win for some time and the race looks very tempo dependent. JUMPING JOLT (5) last scored when defeating MAYWYNS BEST up the passing lane back in June. Runner-up to THE BUS 3 starts back, his recent efforts have been sound, he just needs some factors in his favour. LENNY THE LEGEND (6) has been delivering some sizzling closing sectionals in recent outings, but it has been all to no avail as his winless streak dating back to December 2018 continues. Charging home last start from the 2nd line, he was luckless 2 starts back when the gaps did not open. The map is a query, but the smaller field size certainly helps. HOLY CAMP CLIVE (8) had bullets to fire at Redcliffe 2 starts back when easing from gate 6 early prior to finishing over the top of them. He found them too strong when down the lone behind UNCLE JORD last start and with early options as the lone 2nd liner, he is right in the fight. HAVANA MOON (1) ended up too far back in the pack trying to secure position here on Tuesday and with the race controlled in front was never a factor. With the benefit of the ace, he is in the mix.
SELECTIONS: JUMPING JOLT (5), LENNY THE LEGEND (6), HOLY CAMP CLIVE (8), HAVANA MOON (1) SUGGESTED BET: JUMPING JOLT (5)
RACE SEVEN
SMART AS CAMM BE (7) returns from a slight ease-up where she was banished to the trials despite winning last time out. Given an easy time of it to earn the return ticket, the mare is all class, her 15 wins from 20 appearances testament to that. With the versatility to overcome the gate, this looks set to be sweet 16. WITH THE BAND (5) steps out for her 50th career appearance, finishing with the bronze at her past 2 starts. Holding position last start from gate 3, she received cover before chasing hard to finish 7m from the winner ITZ MY GENERATION. Back to mares only company is a big plus to her chances. VENUS JUJON (2) must step up somewhat here but earns the chance after a sharp return to the track last start. Given a break following her mid-field finish in the 3YO Fillies Triad, her return run was a smart Redcliffe victory. She can chime in again. HUNZA VALLEY (1) claimed a mares qualifier 2 starts back after securing the cosy trip behind the leader and then using the passing lane to arrive. Not that far away last start, she can be sniping late.
SELECTIONS: SMART AS CAMM BE (7), WITH THE BAND (5), VENUS JUJON (2), HUNZA VALLEY (1) SUGGESTED BET: SMART AS CAMM BE (7) to win
RACE EIGHT The Final of the Marburg to Albion Series where 4 heats were conducted on Monday. GOSLING IN FLIGHT (2) was a heat winner to make it 2 from 2 since joining the Taleah McMullen stable. Putting the heat on the leader, he was waved by with a lap to travel to then score an easy 4m victory. Pressing to the front, he will give them a target to gun down. MAJOR LUCKY (8) shoots for the hat-trick after wins at Redcliffe and then his Marburg heat. Settling in the 1x1 trail, he had too many bullets in arriving for a 2n victory. Too strong from the breeze over the Redcliffe sprint trip the start prior, he will be probing for openings to issue a challenge. FAST IS BETTOR (4) had he speed to get to the pegs from gate 2 in her heat and once in control was never in danger to provide Shane Graham with a rare Marburg victory. Only beaten a head the start prior, she will right in the fight. HESLUVABLE (1) attacked the line from a long way back when runner-up to GOSLING IN FLIGHT in the heats. With a cosy trip on offer from this alley, he can be ready to make a closing play.
SELECTIONS: GOSLING IN FLIGHT (2), MAJOR LUCKY (8), FAST IS BETTOR (4), HESLUVABLE (1) SUGGESTED BET: GOSLING IN FLIGHT (2) to win
RACE NINE MILLWOOD TILLY (6) has been runner-up twice and recorded victory in her 3 starts since returning this campaign. 2m in arrears of the smart KIWIS ARE FLYING fresh up, she was then too strong in the closing stages when claiming victory by a head. Despite the sticky gate she looks to have an edge. KOTARE ELITE (1) is still searching for her 1st win since arriving in Aus and lands the gate to challenge. 3rd at Redcliffe 2 starts back as the first 2 across the line cleared out, she chased from the pegs to be 7m away 3 runs back. Showing early speed, she can look to control it and will be gripping on. MIZZZ ADELE (9) worked home strongly from this gate to score over the 2138m 4 starts back in smart style. Only 3m away in a similar mares qualifier last start, with the right trip she has podium hopes. FEEL LIKE DANCIN (10) repelled the early challengers to lead over the 2040m at Redcliffe last start where she controlled the tempo in claiming a 3m victory. With even luck in transit she can chime in.
SELECTIONS: MILLWOOD TILLY (6), KOTARE ELITE (1), MIZZZ ADELE (9), FEEL LIKE DANCIN (10) SUGGESTED BET: MILLWOOD TILLY (6) to win
RACE TEN Starting deep into the red last start and taking no part at the start from this gate NURBURGRING (2) was soon moved around to the breeze. With the leader breaking clear he knuckled down but was unable to bridge the deficit when beaten 1.5m. Settling on the speed he can atone for the defeat. RIVERLEIGH ROCKET (1) claimed a 2nd division qualifier here 3 starts back when settling in the trail before finishing best to claim the prize. 2m in arrears at Redcliffe at his next appearance, he was beaten by the gate behind STREET APPEAL last start. Back to the ace, he can be in for the fight. HAVING THE FAITH (6) eased from this gate last start when looking to make late ground in finishing mid-field to CAUTIVAR. 5m away the start prior when making a wide and searching run, he can be thereabouts once again. JUST JOSHIN (9) chased from the trail to be 8m from the winner DOUBLE OR NOTHING last start in a tidy rate at Redcliffe. With options for the running line or the pegs, he can be thereabouts again.
SELECTIONS: NURBURGRING (2), RIVERLEIGH ROCKET (1), HAVING THE FAITH (6), JUST JOSHIN (9) SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2 / 1-6-9
RACE ELEVEN GREG THE GREAT (2) fired off the arm under these same conditions on Tuesday, finding the front soon after the start from gate 7 and then never in danger thereafter. Within 1.5m of the winner OUR OVERANOVA 3 starts back at Redcliffe, he can take full advantage to make it back-to-back wins. OUR OVERANOVA (8) will have some early options here as the lone 2nd line runner which should aid his chances to quickly work into the running line. A last start winner at Redcliffe from the mobile when grinding it out from the breeze. The grand campaigner can make it 50 wins at The Creek. SIR FAHRENHEIT (3) was sharper last start after going off he boil somewhat in recent times. Pressing forward to the front prior to releasing from a 10m handicap, he was only a half-neck away and can feature again here. MIRACLE RISING (1) settled back in the file from his 2nd line gate here on Tuesday when hitting the line in nice order, beaten 8m. With the cosy trip on offer from the gate, he is an inclusion to the multiples.
SELECTIONS: GREG THE GREAT (2), OUR OVERANOVA (8), SIR FAHRENHEIT (3), MIRACLE RISING (1) SUGGESTED BET:
