ASHLEE NITRO (8) held the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line last start but could not go with them in the latter stages, fading out to the rear. That had followed successive wins over the sprint trip when working home wide out to score on each occasion. She might need to be wider and from this alley can sweep late. Holding on to 4th where 2m covered 2nd to 5th, it had followed 7 successive placed runs. With early speed she might just be able to pinch this. HOLLIE (6) started from the 2nd line last time out when in the pack that were chasing in vain behind ARMA AUGUSTUS. A winner over the 2040m trip here 2 starts back when putting a margin on them after leading all the way, she faces a tricky trip from this gate but can look to issue the challenge. MAGHERA MAGGIE (7) was locked away against the inside at Marburg last start when finding some space in the closing stages to close in good order for the silver. She will be probing for a way clear. ROBINMEGOOD (1) settled in the running line from a 2nd line gate last time out over the AP mile. Making a closing play, he was charging late to get within a half-head of the winner. With early options, he can secure an economical trip and look to make the closing shot a winner. CANNAN (3) was in for the fight last time out when sent to the breeze and fighting hard in the run to the line when only a half-neck from the passing lane winner PLAYING ARKABELLA. In the money at his past 5 in succession, he can get forward from the gate to be at the pointy end in challenging. BARA JAYLA (7) started from this gate last start and was soon locked away 3 pegs before closing in nice order when 9m from the winner BETTOR SPORT. Too far back when chasing in a mares qualifier the start prior, if she can hit the passing lane with momentum, she can throw down a challenge. JAY DEE BE ROLLIN (8) has not had much go his way since arriving in Qld, the latest outing saw him banished to the trials. Earning the return with a sound effort, he can look to rebuild in this. Game in defeat when cutting the breeze 2 starts back, that followed a similar run when 2m from RECIPE FOR DREAMING. With the options he can arrive. A KERRY MAN (2) settled in the pocket trail last start and with the leader just holding his momentum up marginally, he then was reluctant to duck into the passing lane and couldn’t finish it off thereafter. Only a head away from gate 8 here 2 starts back, finding the front he will take catching. BETTOR SPORT (6) has no favours from the wide gate and will need some factors in his favour here. If they do eventuate he can be right in the fight off the back of his last start victory from the 2nd line. MONTEREY JACK (7) took on a much stronger contest last start when finishing down the line behind NOTORIOUS. Swooping home to score the start prior over the AP mile, he can be probing for gaps.

FAVOURITEHIGHLIGHT (1) has been in the money at 4 of her past 5 starts all here on The Triangle. Eased from gate 6 here last start she was working home strongly wide off the track to be 2m from the winner BETTOR SPORT. Only 3m away the start prior, she can capitalise on her best gate for some time. GOTTA MOMENT (3) had been racing more consistently of late, hitting the board in 6 of his previous 8 outings before his most recent start. Fading under a tough mile, forgiving that run, he can atone. OUR LITTLE DIGGER (6) fired an early shot in a strong band 5 event last time out when 1st to the pegs before releasing the speed. Not far away from the winner KINGOFTHESTARS, the return to the sprint trip suits.

RACE TEN ROCKSLIDE (6) was 1st up in Qld last start when having no luck in transit from gate 3 and forced o retreat to the rear to find position. HIGH ON MONTANA (5) was in for the fight last start when obliged to cut the breeze and was toiling when holding on for the silver behind the dictating HUNTER RED. That followed a 4m 3rd over the AP 2138m trip and although the gate stings, this is not out of reach. LANOCH BOY (9) started from gate 8 over the sprint trip last start when making a closing challenge to be within 1.5m of the winner. With the right cart home, he can be in the mix once again here. GUTS (3) went to the pegs last start from the 2nd line and buried away was hampered when the leader hoisted the white flag. Settling close to the action from this alley, he can be thereabouts.
