ARMA AUGUSTUS (8) shoots for a hat-trick of victories after wins at Marburg when doing it easy in front followed by a big win here last start when bullying his way to the front before blitzing his rivals in claiming a 23m victory. The gate hurts but he looks to be going far better than any of his rivals.

CANNAN (3) was in for the fight last time out when sent to the breeze and fighting hard in the run to the line when only a half-neck from the passing lane winner PLAYING ARKABELLA. In the money at his past 5 in succession, he can get forward from the gate to be at the pointy end in challenging.

DOWNTOWN LUCCA (7) was sent to the post as fav last time out when soon settling back in the pack from gate 3. Only 5m away the start prior despite facing an interrupted trip, he will be searching for the openings.

ALWAYS AT NIGHT (9) was asked to roll the sleeves last start over the sprint trip and after toiling in the run could not see it out. A winner here 3 starts back, he can chime in late if saved for one effort.

LANOCH BOY (9) started from gate 8 over the sprint trip last start when making a closing challenge to be within 1.5m of the winner. With the right cart home, he can be in the mix once again here.

GUTS (3) went to the pegs last start from the 2^nd line and buried away was hampered when the leader hoisted the white flag. Settling close to the action from this alley, he can be thereabouts.
