The early speed looks strong in this and the pressure looks set to be maintained in the run. With that scenario playing out WANJIRU (10) can look to be saved for a closing volley. Kept fresh since her last start when only 2.5m in arrears of the winner in a blanket finish after leading them up, she can arrive.

BLUE SHARD (5) added another minor to his tally last start when finishing with the silver when 6m from the dictating winner BOULDER CITY. Snagged back from gate 7 the start prior, he was closing strongly when 5m from the winner SONNY ORLANDO.

ALWAYS A SECRET (1) sat back in the pack from a 2^nd line alley here last start in the Members Cup as war was declared in front through the opening lap. When given his cues, he was powering home wide off the track to claim victory by 3m in stylish fashion. Too strong the start prior, he has the options to capitalise.

THE FORTUNATE SON (8) was banished to the trials last start after drifting up the track when leading over the mile in a qualifier. Holding on to finish 4^th behind L L COOL J, it had followed a power running mile in 1.51.6 the start prior. With 2^nd line options he can look to make a challenge.

FRANCO HAMPTON (6) returns from a spell after really putting it together at the end of his last preparation. Shut down following a top-two finish at his past 5 in succession, he has no favours from the gate but cannot be overlooked.

ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (2) found the front from this gate over the middle-distance last start prior to releasing for the trail on the smart 4YO L L COOL J. He can fire the early shots again here to feature.

ROYAL OBSESSION (7) will take benefit from his latest offering when 1^st up in Qld. Locked away from inside the 2^nd line, he never got the chance to make a play. The gate stings but he can be chiming in.

HIT THE TRACK (1) tried to take them all the way last start at Marburg but could not see it out when finishing with the silver. Finishing over the top of them 3 starts back at the Redcliffe 2040m trip, the gate is his friend here.

RACE NINE

OUR UNCLE JIM (9) rolled forward for an easy lead last start from gate 3 over the 2138m and once in control was never in danger when cruising home to a comfortable 11m victory. Only 5m from subsequent Members Cup winner ALWAYS A SECRET the start prior, he can get the trip to take this.

PROSECUTION WITNESS (2) will take good benefit from his 1^st up run in Qld when stepping out for the 1^st time in 3 months. Buried away from inside the 2^nd line, he was attacking the line in good fashion to grab the silver when 1m from the winner. Settling handy he can look to make a play.

MADAMOISELLE JUJON (5) speared out to take control in a qualifier last start over the mile and kept a solid tempo in front. Unable to see it out, she held on for the silver. Super consistent, she can feature.

NEWPORT DREAMZ (8) was sent to the post as fav last start at Redcliffe when obliged to roll the sleeves for the tough stuff. 4m in arrears of the winner, he will be probing for the openings here.

SPEEDY DOMINIC (1) was a winner here 4 starts back when stepping out in Qld for the 1^st time and scoring via the passing lane. Wide off the track from a tough gate last start, the inside line suits here.
