RACE TWO
THERESACHANCE (2) has some plain numbers next to his name but he looks to have found suitable conditions here to turn it around. Trying to take them all the way last start, he was unable to go on with it as THE HERVEY BAY put him away. With the speed to lead, he just needs to pinch a panel to take them all the way. CALL ME TRISH (1) will be further tightened from her latest outing when 2nd up from a spell. Angled to the pegs for the short-cuts, she was left chasing as SUGARKANE cruised home to score. Down the line when resuming, the gate is a big plus and with the economical trip can be ready to strike in the stretch. ROCKNROLL DUDE (9) was 1st up from a let-up here last start when releasing the speed early from gate 1. Holding on for the silver behind IN THE PAPER, he will be fitter and joining in late here. OLIVER WINKLE (7) will strip fitter from his latest outing when returning from a spell. Trapped in behind the leader at Marburg, he never saw the space to challenge. He will be probing for gaps again. SELECTIONS: THERESACHANCE (2), CALL ME TRISH (1), ROCKNROLL DUDE (9), OLIVER WINKLE (7) SUGGESTED BET: THERESACHANCE (2) to win
RACE THREE
JOVIAL JULIE (2) has been in consistent touch, hitting the board at her past 6 in succession. Trying to launch a closing raid along the passing lane when runner-up to ILLAWONG DREAMTIME last start, she was wide off the track and challenging when beaten a head the start prior. From the gate she gets her chance. MY ULTIMATE LOUIE (4) tackled the strong Redcliffe Guineas last start when retreating from gate 5 to secure position. Wide off the track when trying to launch a closing raid, he was game in defeat when 5m from the winner in a slick closing 800m split. Striking trouble the start prior, he can bounce back. HOLDINGNO CURRENCY (3) has been thereabouts of late with a top-3 at his past 3 on the bounce. Making strong ground to grab the bronze behind MADAMOISELLE JUJON last start, he can chime in. ROCKNROLL SWINGER (6) has no favours from the wide gate here but was working home strongly last start when runner-up to OUR PEPPERJACK. Wide for a long way the start prior, she can feature.
SELECTIONS: JOVIAL JULIE (2), MY ULTIMATE LOUIE (4), HOLDINGNO CURRENCY (3), ROCKNROLL SWINGER (6) SUGGESTED BET: JOVIAL JULIE (2) to win
RACE FOUR ROUSEY (4) claimed the knockout victory at her 1st 6 starts in Qld before the inside 2nd line was her undoing at her next 2 and saw her finish as the runner-up by small margins when starting in red figures on each occasion. Striking a tougher race at headquarters last start, the return to The Triangle looks ideal and she can bounce back. PACIFIC COIN (5) made the trek to Tamworth last start when sent around the field from the 2nd line to try to force the issue. Unable to go on with it, it followed a tough 2nd from gate 6 here over the 1780m trip. The gate stings but he can press forward and get into the action to challenge. DOWNTOWN LUCCA (1) was deserted by luck last start when probing for open space but unable to force into the clear when only 5m away. With the options from the ace gate, he will be right in the fight. DEVOUGED (9) started from this gate last start and did not have the smoothest run-in transit when mid-field behind OUR ULTIMATE HANNA. Using the passing lane to be within 3m of the winner the start prior, he can be joining in here.
SELECTIONS: ROUSEY (4), PACIFIC COIN (5), DOWNTOWN LUCCA (1), DEVOUGED (9) SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4-5-9
RACE FIVE ALWAYS AT NIGHT (2) has faced some tough gates in recent outings and with the improved alley here looks to get his chance to end the sequence. Forget his last start at Marburg where it just did not go to plan, the start prior he was still making solid ground from a long way back. Pressing forward can earn the breakthrough. OCEANSIDE (9) was sent straight to the front last start and tried to pinch it in front when walking them early, but he was unable to put them away when gunned down. His run from the 2nd line over the mile at headquarters 3 back was a nice effort and that type of run here has him in contention. TORQUE TO THE MAX (4) opted for the trail from gate 1 last start and using the passing lane made a closing dive to be within 3m of the winner BARBOO. Positioning cheaply can see her join in here. GUTS (5) was hustled early to take control last start and given the stink eye in the run as unable to see it out when finishing 6m from the winner in 2nd place. The gate stings but in this field he can feature.
SELECTIONS: ALWAYS AT NIGHT (2), OCEANSIDE (9), TORQUE TO THE MAX (4), GUTS (5) SUGGESTED BET: ALWAYS AT NIGHT (2) to win
RACE SIX TEE JAY CEE (4) broke through for his 1st victory when returning from a spell and making the most of gate 1 to take them all the way over the AP mile. Not much has really gone his way in 4 starts since and running into some handy one along the way. Limiting the early burn, he looks to have found conditions to suit. COULDNTMISAFALCON (9) returned from a long spell over the AP 2138m 4 starts back and was facing a big ask. Appreciating a return to easier company here over the sprint trip at her next start when scoring in style, her latest run was an eye-catcher in a sharp last stanza to be within a half-head of the winner. She can challenge despite the alley. LOVE YOUR WORK (2) resumes following a break and was last seen back in August when down the line in the Brisbane APG Final. With the good alley, he can settle handy to make an impression 1st up. KISSESFORYAMISSES (7) will need a rub of the green from this alley but has returned in good order from a spell. Runner-up twice and claiming a dictating win in her 3 outings, she will be probing for the openings. SELECTIONS: TEE JAY CEE (4), COULDNTMISAFALCON (9), LOVE YOUR WORK (2), KISSESFORYAMISSES (7) SUGGESTED BET: TEE JAY CEE (4) to win
RACE SEVEN MAKINMEFEELGOOD (6) has the tough gate to negotiate but might just be going well enough to take his chance against this line-up. Trying to work home from back in the pack last start when mid-field behind MY ULTIMATE HESTON, he had placed his previous 2 and in an open contest can pinch it. IMA REGAL JET (9) started in red figures last start at Tamworth and was soon working forward to get into the contest. In for the fight when holding on for the silver and 4m from the winner, he has now been runner-up in 3 of his past 5 starts. The gate hurts but saved for a closing shot can join in. POSER (1) took the trail from the inside alley at Marburg last start and was left in arrears of TEACHERS PET. With the early options here, she looms as a place option. KID CALVERT (3) continues to be thereabouts without threatening to win and comes up with the alley to be around the money once again. 5m away last start when working home wide out, he has podium claims.
SELECTIONS: MAKINMEFEELGOOD (6), IMA REGAL JET (9), POSER (1), KID CALVERT (3) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE EIGHT JOY TO ALL (8) started from gate 9 last time out when wide off the track and working hard to get around the field. Only finishing a head in arrears of the winner, it had followed a tidy effort behind HURRIKANE HOUR. Placed in 6 of her 13 outings, with the right slice of luck she can open her account. LITTLE AUCKLAND (7) took 28 attempts to breakthrough for her 1st victory when using the passing lane to arrive for the prize here last start. Landing the inside 2nd line again, she will be relying on the 1 looking to dictate and with that scenario eventuating, she will be ready to repeat. OUR DOLLY (1) started from inside the 2nd line here 2 starts back and with the cosy trip was able to snare the silver behind AURORA ROSE. With the benefit of the ace, she will be thereabouts. LAKER (5) eased to find position from gate last start before trying to launch a closing charger behind LITTLE AUCKLAND. The wide gate stings again but he can be looking to join in late.
SELECTIONS: JOY TO ALL (8), LITTLE AUCKLAND (7), OUR DOLLY (1), LAKER (5) SUGGESTED BET: JOY TO ALL (8) to win
RACE NINE GINA TARANTELLA (1) has been a revelation since arriving in Qld after arriving a maiden and now undefeated in her past 4 starts. The manner and margin of her wins has been breathtaking with an average winning margin over 30m. This does not really appear any harder and from the ace they should know what they are chasing. COUNTRY RUN (2) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was soon locked away 3 back against the poles. 3 starts back from gate 7 over the AP mile he was snagged back prior to making some strong closing metre to be 6m in arrears of the winner. He might just be able to snare the trail here which would aid his chances. PHOTOZEN (9) has been sparingly raced since returning from an NSW trip. With just one run since October. That came over the AP 2138m trip when down the line behind FLAME LADY. He can be sharper here. DUKE (8) was obliged to roll the sleeves last start which did not suit and saw him at the caboose. The start prior when taking the pocket trail, he was only a head from the winner. Limiting the work can see him chime in. SELECTIONS: GINA TARANTELLA (1), COUNTRY RUN (2), PHOTOZEN (9), DUKE (8) SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1 / 2-8-9
RACE TEN A tough contest to bring the curtain down on the meeting with the speed off the front line looking questionable. Leaning to STEEVEN (8) who was able to find the pocket trail from gate 9 after an early scrimmage. Finishing 1m from the winner, he should take benefit from the run after 3 runs back from a break. DONT YOUBE NAUGHTY (3) has shown steady improvement to land the bronze at her past 2 in succession. Rolling forward to race first over last start, she was boxing on well which had followed a softer run when locked away on the pegs. From an improved gate she can challenge. HURRIKANE KAT (5) made a mess of things last start to be banished to the ODM and was never a factor. Runner-up the start prior when looking to lead throughout, she can be thereabouts. ESTARDAY (9) has placed in 4 of her 9 career starts and although coming up with the tricky gate, can look for the right early trail to feature in a wide-open event.
SELECTIONS: STEEVEN (8), DONT YOUBE NAUGHTY (3), HURRIKANE KAT (5), ESTARDAY (9) SUGGESTED BET:
