Burwood Stud, Pittsworth - who bred the Queensland 2YO and 3YO of the Year Governor Jujon - is holding an Open Day at the farm on Sunday, March 21 from 10am to 2pm.
The highlight will be a parade of 20 yearlings listed to go under the hammer at the Garrards Redcliffe Yearling Sale to be held at the Redcliffe Paceway the following Sunday.
Visitors will be able to inspect the farm and resident stallions Changeover, Franco Nelson and Cammibest, engage with the Denning family and farm veterinarian Francois Viljoen, of Darling Downs Vets and enjoy the Barastoc barbecue lunch.
Burwood Stud has bred, prepared or stood the sire of seven of the 11 Garrards 2YO Redcliffe Sales Classics conducted so far.
The 2021 Garrards Redcliffe Yearling Sale has attracted 73 youngsters by 29 different sires including
