RACE TWO
NIGHTWATCH STAR (5) steps out in Qld for the 1st time, arriving with the Jonah Hutchinson stable. A winner at Canberra 4 runs back when working forward and then doing it the tough way before putting them to the sword for a big win. A beaten fav last start, he finds the right contest to strike first up. LITTLEDEE (6) shoots for a hat-trick of victories after wins over this trip and then the AP mile last time out. Pressing on to find the front last start, once she was in control was able to fight them off to claim a new PB victory time. The gate is a stinger but holding her form she can look to throw it down. WEASEL (4) was making a strong challenge in the closing stages last start to grab the bronze when only a half-head from the passing lane winner. Never far away, he can be thereabouts once more. THATS FUNNY (3) was locked away against the pegs last start and was able to grab the bronze as DOCTA FEELGOOD put them away. That was good improvement and limiting the workload, she can chime in late. SELECTIONS: NIGHTWATCH STAR (5), LITTLEDEE (6), WEASEL (4), THATS FUNNY (3) SUGGESTED BET: NIGHTWATCH STAR (5) to win
RACE THREE GEORGEZILLA (1) lands his best gate for some time after a string of wide gates have hampered his chances. Midfield behind the smart winner DOCTA FEELGOOD last start, he retreated in the early stages the start prior and was too far back to make a play. With the improved alley, he finds his chance to cash-in. BRISKET (7) had an early shot for supremacy last start but was unable to get to the front but found he space to drop in for the trial. The early burn took its toll, and he was unable to go on with it. Striking trouble the start prior, he should get the cosy trip here to make a play when the gaps arrive. KENDYS BUTTERFLY (9) eased from gate 4 to find the running line last start before coming with her run to grab the silver when 2m from the winner OUR BELLA LUCIA. With the right cart into the contest, she can chime in again. TASCOTT TERROR (5) returns from a spell, last seen back in August when scoring a maiden breaking victory. It was an earned win after finishing runner-up in her 3 previous attempts and she will take good benefit from the run. SELECTIONS: GEORGEZILLA (1), BRISKET (7), KENDYS BUTTERFLY (9), TASCOTT TERROR (5) SUGGESTED BET: GEORGEZILLA (1) to win
RACE FOUR RAINBOW STYLING (3) released the speed last start after holding up early from gate 1 and then faded out to be a long way from the winner. His run the start prior at headquarters was a much more inspiring effort when not far from the in-form JINGLES BROMAC. Settling close to the action can see him arrive. FAIREACHDAINN (9) started from this same gate last time out and was trying to make metres in the closing stages when 9m from the winner BRILLIANT ART. Runner-up to TAKE IN THE GOLD 2 starts back, that had followed a smart win from gate 6 after retreating early. With even luck she can throw it down in this line-up. WHATELEY (4) will take further benefit from his latest appearance when 3rd up since returning from a spell. Just fading in the latter stages as KAY NORA SHANNON arrived up the passing lane, he can feature here.
HURRIKANE SPECIAL (7) did some early work prior to receiving cover last start but could not go on with it when midfield. Likely to be pinned away here, she will be probing for the openings. SELECTIONS: RAINBOW STYLING (3), FAIREACHDAINN (9), WHATELEY (4), HURRIKANE SPECIAL (7) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE FIVE A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (2) rolled forward to get outside the leader last start but after doing the hard yards in the run, did not have any power to finish and faded. A passing lane winner here 3 starts back when arriving up the inside, he can make an early play here and if taking control will take some stitching. BRILLIANT ART (9) has landed the spoils in 2 of her past 4 starts, the most recent when doing it the tough way and fighting them off to claim a gritty win after rolling forward from gate 4. Striking trouble 2 runs back, with the right luck from this alley, she can mount a challenge in this. IMA BIRUBI BOY (7) looked to have every conceivable to complete a hat-trick of victories last start after securing an easy opening half but was grabbed up the passing lane. In danger of being buried, he will be probing for openings here. WILD ABOUT TOWN (1) showed the benefit of an economical trip last time out when holding on for the bronze. Fading after working in transit at his previous 2, he is a place hope with a cosy trip.
SELECTIONS: A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (2), BRILLIANT ART (9), IMA BIRUBI BOY (7), WILD ABOUT TOWN (1) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE SIX TODAYS HERO (1) has been on a win drought, unable to land a win since December 2019, but may just have found the conditions here. A passing lane 3rd here 4 runs back from this gate when 4m from the winner CAPTAIN THUNDERBOLT, he has the options to look for the winning rains to arrive. MAKINMEFEELGOOD (7) pressed ahead to take control from gate 4 last time out and once in control was able to fend off the challengers in claiming a 4m victory. Asked to roll the sleeves and do it the gritty way the start prior when 3rd, he will be probing for the openings to make a challenge in this. OUR BELLA LUCIA (8) started from gate 9 last time out when securing the ideal run-in transit to make the closing shot a winner. This is another step up, but she can be looking to chime in late. A winner here 3 starts back when powering home over the top of them, he looks set for the right trip and if the passing lane presents while he has momentum, he can arrive once again. LAVAZZA (3) eased from gate 6 last time before working home strongly to grab the silver behind MAKINMEFEELGOOD. It did not go to plan the start prior in the Marburg to Albion Final and with her best gate since arriving in Qld, she has the chance to throw down a solid challenge. SWEET SANGRIA (2) has claimed 3rd place at her past 2 starts, the latest when sent around them from the 2nd line to work hard outside the leader. The improved gate can see her feature again. TACTFILLY MAGIC (1) started from this gate last time out when looking to take them all the way, only grabbed in the closing stages to be a half-head shy of victory. She can be gripping on again. SELECTIONS: ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (7), LAVAZZA (3), SWEET SANGRIA (2), TACTFILLY MAGIC (1) SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-3-7
RACE EIGHT JOVIAL JULIE (1) settled in the running line from gate 4 last time over the sprint trip and was trying to offer a closing rally when claiming 2nd behind FEEL THE THRILL. Not finding the gaps when needed the start prior over the AP 2138m trip, she has the options from this gate to capitalise. SUKI DAYO (5) was luckless last time out when tackling a mares qualifier and searching for openings that did not arrive behind ICE PICK ANGIE. 5m from ALE ALE KAI here 2 starts back when shooting for a hat-trick of wins, she will be hoping for some early power to make a closing play. HOLDINGNO CURRENCY (2) started from the 2nd line last time out when sent to the post as equal fav but could only manage the bronze behind ONLYSBEST. Settling close to the action, he can be thereabouts. PLATINUM PROMISE (6) has no favours from out there but should find this a shade or 2 under what he has met in his past 3 at The Creek. 2 from 3 here on The Triangle, he can be in the mix. SELECTIONS: JOVIAL JULIE (1), SUKI DAYO (5), HOLDINGNO CURRENCY (2), PLATINUM PROMISE (6) SUGGESTED BET: JOVIAL JULIE (1) to win
RACE NINE SHERBETS CHOICE (4) has returned in great order and has built a tidy record overall that includes a top-3 in all 9 starts here at Redcliffe. Wide off the track last start to grab the silver after MY CHINA DOLL pinched a break, he was a winner over this trip 2 starts back from this same gate and can look for a repeat.
GLENEAGLE WARRIOR (6) has now had 3 runs back from a spell where he has faced wide gates on each occasion. He comes up with another carpark alley here as he re-joins the Vicki Rasmussen stable. Working hard in the run last time out, the distance is a query, but he can roll forward to challenge. SOMEGIRLSOMEWHERE (3) started from gate 6 last start when retreating in the early stages to find position before working hoe soundly to grab the bronze. Settling closer she can feature in this. ASHLEE NITRO (1) has placed at her past 3 in succession, the latest when making a closing play from back in the pack when within 2m of the winner APACHE WHITESOX. With a cosy trip she can chime in. SELECTIONS: SHERBETS CHOICE (4), GLENEAGLE WARRIOR (6), SOMEGIRLSOMEWHERE (3), ASHLEE NITRO (1) SUGGESTED BET: SHERBETS CHOICE (4) to win
