RACE TWO

TAM OSHANTER (4) was sent out in red figures here last week and made a complete meal of the start to end his chances before they had started. Closing out strongly the start prior when runner-up to ALADDIN SANE, if he can step cleanly, he gets the chance to atone.

THE REAPER (9) was required to do it the tough way here last start when facing the breeze and despite that not being his preferred pattern, he was in for the fight and only yielded ground over the latter stages. With less work in the run, he can be making a play here.

PUMA ROAD (7) was pegged away from the front tape and with the track opening in the stretch, he was able to sprint powerful to score. Grabbed by VAN SANK last start, he is right in the fight.

THE NIGHT KING (5) was a winner here 2 starts back in easier company when finishing best from the 40m tape. 5m away here on Friday, he can look to chime in again.

SELECTIONS: TAM OSHANTER (4), THE REAPER (9), PUMA ROAD (7), THE NIGHT KING (5)
SUGGESTED BET: TAM OSHANTER (4) to win

RACE THREE

WAHS FIRE BUG (5)
heads North from Menangle where she has 2 wins in her past 5 starts over the flying mile. Claiming a small 4 horse field 3 starts back, she was back in the pack last time out when trying to wind up against the tempo. The gate is a little sticky, but she can make a play.

LIFE LAVROS (3) sat back in the pack from a 2nd line gate here last week and despite a steady tempo in the early stages up front, still had the bullets to blaze home in landing a 3m victory. Settling closer from this alley, he can be ready to make a big play for the prize in this.

RUNFORTHEROSES (1) was a winner here 4 starts back when capitalising on this gate over this trip and taking them all the way. Fading here on Friday where there was an excuse, she can feature.

THE BANKER (6) was banished to the trials last time out when making an error after starting from the 6 alley. Earning the return with a smart trial performance, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: WAHS FIRE BUG (5), LIFE LAVROS (3), RUNFORTHEROSES (1), THE BANKER (6)
SUGGESTED BET: LIFE LAVROS (3)

RACE FOUR

ROYAL AURORA (8)
was building towards something and despite landing gate 7 here last time out was able to finish best with a powerful closing burst, sweeping on by to open up a 7m winning margin. With the 2nd line options as the lone runner out the back, he can go back-to-back.

ALWAYS A SECRET (1) is working his way back into form after returning from a spell and has now hit the board in 3 of his past 5 starts. Pressing forward from a 2nd line gate here last time, he was fighting hard in holding on for the silver. With the good alley he can take full advantage.

KENSINGTON BILL (5) eased from gate 7 last time to secure position and was trying to wind up over the closing stages when 4m in arrears of the winner. He will be looking to make a play again here.

RAGNARR (2) was returning from a freshen here last start when settling rearward from the 2nd line. Attacking the line strongly, he was only 1m in arrears and with the improved gate can feature.

SELECTIONS: ROYAL AURORA (8), ALWAYS A SECRET (1), KENSINGTON BILL (5), RAGNARR (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ROYAL AURORA (8) to win

RACE FIVE

HEMSWORTH (7) lands the tough gate but should find this a big step down in class as he looks to open his account since arriving in Qld. Not suited wide off the track over the 2138m in the South East Derby last start, it followed a tidy effort at Redcliffe behind KRUG. He can defy the gate to open the account.

AYE AYE CAPTAIN (10) was building towards something and franked that assessment when cashing in here last time out over the mile. Doing some early work to get forward to find a position, he had bullets to fire in the stretch to take the prize. He can work home strongly again in this.

FOUR FOR FOUR (1) landed this gate last week over the 2138m when looking to take them all the way but was unable to see it out as ONYA DOUG snuck home to score. Back to the mile, she can be fighting.

CLARENDEN DAZZLER (3) is in super touch with a victory in 4 of his past 5 starts but will face a sterner test in this line up. Arriving for the prize last start at Redcliffe, he will be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: HEMSWORTH (7), AYE AYE CAPTAIN (10), FOUR FOR FOUR (1), CLARENDEN DAZZLER (3)
SUGGESTED BET: HEMSWORTH (7) to win

RACE SIX

HEAD NOISE (5)
broke the maiden status here last week when taking control early from gate 1 before handing over for the trail. Working home smartly here 2 starts back when 3rd to GOING GREAT GUNS, the gate is a little tricky, but she can build off the win to go again.

MERGE RIGHT (10) was on debut last tie out at Redcliffe when tackling older horses and chiming in nicely to grab the silver behind INZANIGHT. The gate is not ideal but with the added race experience and some tempo up front, she might just be able to make a challenge.

SWEET RIPPIN (2) makes her first appearance in Qld for Jamie Donovan and brings a pair of placings to the table for this. 3m from the winner last time after starting from inside the 2nd line, she stays under notice in this.

EXPLANATION NOTED (1) has placed in 3 of her 4 starts, the latest when buried from gate 1 over the Redcliffe 1780m trip. Searching for gaps, she chimed in to be 5m from MIDNIGHT SOMEWHERE.

SELECTIONS: HEAD NOISE (5), MERGE RIHT (10), SWEET RIPPIN (2), EXPLANATION NOTED (1)
SUGGESTED BET: HEAD NOISE (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

GOING GREAT GUNS (9)
was resuming from a freshen when easing across from the five hole to secure the perfect 1x1 trail last time out. Finishing stoutly in claiming a 3.5m victory, he can trail through in the early stages here to secure position and be ready to take the closing shot again.

GOTTA GO MILKING (11) should appreciate a return to this level of contest after each time he has tackled his own age it has been against some slightly stronger opponents. Down the line last time as MY ULTIMATE BAXTER claimed the prize, he can throw down the challenge here.

MIDNIGHT SOMEWHERE (4) stuck to the inside in the Redcliffe Sales Final and was sound to the line when 4th behind TEDDY DISCO. Taking them all the way last start to break the maiden last time out, he will be in the mix.

BEACH ON FIRE (1) had been building towards a win and last start despite gate 9 at Redcliffe was able to weave a passage to open the account. With the perfect trip from this gate, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: GOING GREAT GUNS (9), GOTTA GO MILKING (11), MIDNIGHT SOMEWHERE (4), BEACH ON FIRE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: GOING GREAT GUNS (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

RAANI (6)
settled in the 1x1 trail here last time out when returning from a let up and was making some nice metres over the closing stages to be 6m from the winner. Fitter for that run, she does not get many favours from this alley but with some good tempo can make a closing play.

GINGER MICKY (9) was a real eye-catcher here last week when returning from a spell after switching to the Anna Woodmansey barn. Settling in the running line he was looming up strongly to get within a half-head of the winner.  Fitter for the run, he can follow through to make a challenge.

HOT N GOLD (8) will be relying on some factors in her favour from inside the 2nd line but if the gaps are to open in time, she can be ready to charge. Too strong in front last time, she is right in the fight.

WHATTA GOOD REASON (1) did some early work to secure position last start before taking cover and finishing not too far from the winner ONYA DOUG. Arriving for the prize 2 starts back, he lands the options from this alley.

SELECTIONS: RAANI (6), GINGER MICKY (9), HOT N GOLD (8), WHATTA GOOD REASON (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-6-8-9

RACE NINE

BITCOIN (1) is bursting to win a race and looks to have found the right conditions to capitalise. Wide off the track last start after retreating early from gate 7 before making a wide move, it was a smart effort to grab 3rd. Runner-up his previous 2 starts in succession, he can get the perfect trip and the market looks the right time to buy.

BLACK HAWK JOE (2) settled back in the pack from gate 10 here on Saturday night over the 2138m and despite a steady opening half of the last mile, he had the power to descend on them and claim a smart win. Better suited at the mile, he lands the gate to throw it down hard here.

KING TRITON (7) will take added benefit from his latest outing when easing from gate 4 to secure position before attacking the line strongly for the silver. The gate makes it tough, but he cannot be undersold.

CHASING THE WIND (9) has not had much go his way at the barriers in 2 starts here at The Creek and despite the tough gate, has not been too far away. Pressing through early, he can make a big play here.

SELECTIONS: BITCOIN (1), BLACK HAWK JOE (2), KING TRITON (7), CHASING THE WIND (9)
SUGGESTED BET: BITCOIN (1) to win

RACE TEN

WATCH PULP FICTION (9) has been without a win in over 12 months now, but he may just have found the right race to rectify that statistic. Forced to do some early work last start when midfield to SCOOB OPERATOR, he followed that same winner home 2 starts back and despite a tricky gate can sneak away with the prize.

SQUIRE (2) may have some ordinary numbers next to his name and will be first up from a freshen, but he finds the right type of contest to make a play. Fading after forced to grind it out from the breeze here 2 starts back, he can find the pegs first and be an improver.

MONTANA CHIEF (5) has been super consistent in recent outings, the latest when only a flared nostril from the winner after attacking the line with gusto. He will snag back early before charging up the stretch.

JUST ROKIN (3) held the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line here 2 starts back and with the cosy trip held on to claim the silver. 7m away last start, she can be thereabouts from this alley.

SELECTIONS: WATCH PULP FICTION (9), SQUIRE (2), MONTANA CHIEF (5), JUST ROKIN (3)
SUGGESTED BET: WATCH PULP FICTION (9) to win
