RACE TWO MERGE RIGHT (4) has placed at her past 2 starts, the latest when displaying the early speed to take control before releasing for the trail. Using the passing lane, she was able to grab the bronze behind MISTER REACTOR. Only a neck in arrears of the winner the start prior, she gets her chance. SAMMYS SECRET (2) is finding a 2YO win mighty elusive after 16 attempts but has been the runner-up in 4 of his past 5 starts. Gunned down in the closing stages last start when trying to take them all the way, he has the gate to hustle out of the Hilux once again to be in the right position. VODKA EN ICE (7) was asked to do it the tough way last start when sitting parked and trying to graft out an effort. 7m from the winner BOLD COWBOY, he will be searching for open road from this gate. BLACKJACK SHAZ (3) will strip fitter from her latest offering when 2nd up from a spell. Resuming when 3rd to GOLDIES A DELIGHT, she finds suitable conditions to feature.
SELECTIONS: MERGE RIGHT (4), SAMMYS SECRET (2), VODKA EN ICE (7), BLACKJACK SHAZ (3) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE THREE ROCKNHOLME (4) looks well graded in this contest and should be nearing full fitness after 4 runs back from an extended break. In for the fight after grinding it out and finishing 1.5m from the winner here 2 starts back, he again was asked to sit parked last start in a tidy effort. This looks ideal. SPECIAL MEANING (1) has placed in 6 of his 12 outings here on The Triangle as he looks for his first victory on this surface. Closing out in tidy order last start from the 2nd line when 6m in arrears of the winner, he has the options from this gate to throw down the challenge. BORDERLINE (3) is a lightly raced 4YO mare joining the Richard Hutchinson stable that arrives as a last start Newcastle winner. That win was back in July and with 2 NSW trials in readiness, she stays under watch. AUNTY FRANCES (2) settled in the 1x1 trail from gate 4 last start when sent to the post as the punters elect. Finishing midfield, she looks a podium chance again. SELECTIONS: ROCKNHOLME (4), SPECIAL MEANING (1), BORDERLINE (3), AUNTY FRANCES (2) SUGGESTED BET: ROCKNHOLME (4) to win
RACE FOUR GINATIANO (8) started from this same gate last start when saved for a closing burst she was able to sail down the outside to claim a 1m victory. There looks to be some good tempo generated in the early and middle stages and she might just have the finishing burst to arrive for the prize. MISTY CREEK (3) drops back to Thursday open age grade after tackling his own age last time out in strong Saturday night contest. Just 6m from LEAP TO FAME after taking the trail from gate 1 and then using the passing lane, his record here is super and he looms as a huge danger. HALF MOON BEACH (4) is on the back-up from Monday where he was able to overturn a long winless stretch that dated over two years. Placed in 3 of his 4 previous starts, he is in the mix. HEADWIN (1) has the early hustle to fire through here and his efforts are always sharper from the front. Not suited from inside the 2nd line last start, he has the ideal gate to be right in the fight. SELECTIONS: GINATIANO (8), MISTY CREEK (3), HALF MOON BEACH (4), HEADWIN (1) SUGGESTED BET: GINATIANO (8) each-way
RACE FIVE SHES ALL STAR (4) has started from inside the 2nd line at her past 2 starts, the latest when buried and looking for the gaps to open when 5m from TULHURST LOVER. A winner here 3 starts back when sent forward to sit parked from gate 3, she looks to have found the right conditions to capitalise. TURN TURN FLYER (8) was shooting for the hat-trick of victories last start when slammed with gate 6. Sent forward to sit parked, he was unable to finish it off. Too strong the start prior when sent forward from the 2nd line, he can make a challenge in this line up. DUKE (9) was sent to the post as the favourite last start but was never in the call after retreating to the rear and unable to warm up over the closing stages. He can look for a sharper return here. SCHOOBY (3) was a winner here 3 starts back when leading throughout from gate 1. Not too far away last start, he can fire some early bullets from this alley. SELECTIONS: SHES ALL STAR (4), TURN TURN FLYER (8), DULE (9), SCHOOBY (3) SUGGESTED BET: SHES ALL STAR (4) to win
RACE SIX DATSINAHURRI (1) started from this gate last time over the AP mile and was soon buried 3 back against the poles. Unable to get into the contest, it followed a 4th where she had the speed to lead before releasing for the trail. From the good alley she can look to take advantage. LUCINDA JAMAR (8) has placed in 2 of her 3 starts here on The Triangle and been in the money at her past 4 in succession. Asked to graft it out when sitting parked last time, she was in for the fight to hold on for the silver. Despite the 2nd line gate she is pressing closer to her 1st Qld victory. WHATA REACTOR (7) was looking for position from gate 6 last start when retreating and then finding the running line when chasing home behind the trotter EYRE I GO. She will be probing. UWATCHINGME (9) has hit the board at her past 3 in succession, the most recent when grabbing the bronze behind FORTYFIVE ROCK. With even luck she can be making a play. SELECTIONS: DATSINAHURRI (1), LUCINDA JAMAR (8), WHATA REACTOR (7), UWATCHINGME (9) SUGGESTED BET: DATSINAHURRI (1) to win
RACE SEVEN ILLBEWATCHING (3) fired out last start from gate 4 to have a look but after being repelled and doing some early work was able to receive cover. Looming up to make a closing play, he was just a half-head in arrears of the winner. He has the early hustle to look to take control. MASTER CHARLES (1) is a 2YO taking on the older horses here and should take further benefit from his latest outing when 2nd up from a spell. Taking control from gate 3, he was able to beat the older horses on that occasion too when claiming victory by 2m. He has the ideal gate to throw it down. JAZIAH (8) settled in the 1x1 trail last start and was trying to launch a closing raid when just 2m from the winner. With the right trail through she can be in the mix. CALL ME TRISH (7) has placed at her past 2 starts with the latest of those a smart effort from gate 6 when working home in nice order. With an economical peg-line position she can feature. SELECTIONS: ILLBEWATCHING (3), MASTER CHARLES (1), JAZIAH (8), CALL ME TRISH (7) SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-7-8
RACE EIGHT WHATELEY (9) found the ideal conditions 2 starts back when starting from the 2nd line and with plenty of early pressure was in a position to strike. Making the closing shot a winning one, it was followed with a sub-par effort. This looks ideal for the bounce back. ALLSTAR SEA (5) started from gate 7 over the AP mile last time out where he was snagged back off the arm soon after the field was released. With a strong tempo through the first 3 panels, he was the fresh legs on the scene to arrive for a new career PB win rate. The gates stings but he is up to it. VERMONT (2) was runner-up here 2 starts back after finding the 1x1 trail in transit and finishing 3m from the winner PURPLE SHADES. Settling handy from this alley will aid her chances. MOLLIDOR (4) is a newcomer to Qld that joins the Richard Hutchinson stable. With speed out of the machine, she can fire some early bullets. SELECTIONS: WHATELEY (9), ALLSTAR SEA (5), VERMONT (2), MOLLIDOR (4) SUGGESTED BET: WHATELEY (9) to win
RACE NINE IN THE PAPER (4) was sent forward from gate 4 over the 1780m last start and asked to do it the tough way, was griding hard outside the leader. Taking one closing challenge under siege, he was within a flared nostril of success. He can go one better. KATACHA MAN (5) has been hitting some good areas after finishing in the money at his past 8 in succession. Too strong last start when giving the leader the stink eye and fighting on for the prize, he was just a neck away the start prior. The gate stings but he can throw it down. ASHLEE NITRO (1) was buried away from inside the 2nd line last start but found the space to sprint sharply to claim the prize. Following a similar pattern here, she can be making a closing play. WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (7) was first up in Qld last start when starting from gate 1 and trying to take them all the way. Needing a slice of luck, he will be searching for the gaps. SELECTIONS: KATACHA MAN (5), ASHLEE NITRO (1), WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (7) SUGGESTED BET: IN THE PAPER (4) to win
