Racing Queensland advises that the Gold Coast Turf Club race meeting today, which was transferred yesterday to the Polytrack at Sunshine Coast Turf Club, has been abandoned.
The decision comes following consistent and heavy rain that has fallen in South East Queensland over the last 36 hours, with a forecast which indicates further rainfall is likely throughout the remainder of today.
Participants with engagements at the race meeting have been advised of the abandonment via SMS.
