Sushi Mango, a son of Zambora Brockie, heads towards the heats of the Ipswich Auction Sprint Series on Friday afternoon, going around in race eight of the program, which is the last of five heats.
Sushi Mango, who Neal also owns, has collected all four of his victories over the 520-metre trip at Ipswich and will be out to win his first event over 431 metres this week.
“He will be better over the 500 metres for that Auction Series, I was not going to put him in the 431-metre one but seeing as they called for extended nominations, I thought why not put him in,” Neal said.
Sushi Mango won a heat of the Corporate Dollars Challenge early in 2021.
The Ipswich Auction Sprint Series over 520 metres will be run across the first three weeks of April.
“He has been really good to me,” Neal said of Sushi Mango.
“He has won four now and placed a few times, he likes the 500-metre trip at Ipswich.”
In the 431-metre Ipswich Auction Sprint Series, five heats will be run this Friday afternoon before three semi-finals next Saturday evening and a Final seven days after that.
