Racing Queensland confirms that as a consequence of the abandonment of the Cairns Jockey Club race meeting today, Friday, April 22, there has been additional races programmed in the NQ/CQ regions. They are:
Mt Garnet ATC – Friday, April 29
Townsville TC – Friday, May 6
Cairns JC – Thursday, May 12
Racing Queensland had endeavoured to reschedule/replace the Cairns Jockey Club meeting in its entirety at short notice, however the forecasted continuation of inclement weather in the region combined with unavailability of other prospective venues and broadcast limitations made this unachievable.
