Racing Queensland confirms that the recent rain event in South East Queensland has resulted in the abandonment of the Kilcoy Race Club’s meeting on Saturday, June 4.
The club had hoped the racing surface might improve in time for its Cup meeting to proceed.
However after careful monitoring of the track over the past week it has now been concluded that there is no possibility it will recover for Saturday week’s race meeting to proceed at the venue.
Racing Queensland will, following the abandonment, now consider potential alternative programming options in SEQ over the next fortnight.
Two races from the race day’s abandoned program, namely the Kilcoy Cup and the Princess of Kilcoy, will however likely be rescheduled to the club’s November 26 race date.
