Following engagement with club management, Racing Queensland advises that there will be a decision made early tomorrow morning as to whether the Sunshine Coast Turf Club race meeting on Sunday, May 15, will proceed on the course proper or alternatively be transferred to the venue’s poly track.
The timing of the decision is based on the fact that there has already been a deluge of rain experienced at the venue, and the forecast for a continuation of inclement weather over the next 18 hours.
It will also provide trainers with visibility prior to acceptance deadline.
If the predicted rain does eventuate prior to tomorrow morning, then there is no possibility that the meeting will proceed on the course proper on Sunday.
RQ will provide stakeholders with an update Thursday morning. In the meantime, trainers with horses nominated for the race meeting have been advised via SMS.
