The Roma TC non-Tab race meeting scheduled for Saturday July 23 has been postponed to Sunday July 24 due to the state of the track.
Roma’s Bassett Park racecourse had received 25mm of rainfall since Thursday. QRIC Stewards inspected the racecourse on 2 occasions on Saturday deeming the track unsuitable to race on Saturday due to waterlogged sections.
Due to the postponement to Sunday, all scratchings will be reinstated for the Sunday meeting. Trainers not wishing to start at the postponed meeting must advise Racing Australia.
Race times for the Sunday meeting are:
Race 1 10.00am
Race 2 10.30am
Race 3 11.00am
Race 4 11.30am
Race 5 12.00 noon
QRIC stewards will inspect the Roma racetrack at 7.00am on Sunday morning.
The Roma TC will also stage a phantom (betting) meeting on Saturday with all facilities available.
