Camooweal meeting rescheduled to Mount Isa

The annual Camooweal Jockey Club non-TAB race meeting on Saturday, August 27 has been rescheduled to be conducted by the Mount Isa Race Club.

The Camooweal racetrack is still undergoing a track upgrade, and remains unsuitable for racing.

The race program and prize money for the rescheduled Mount Isa meeting will remain as previously advertised. 

There is one minor amendment to a race distance – with the Camooweal Cup Benchmark 60 Hcp 1400m becoming 1450m.

The program is:

• Northern Rural Group Camooweal Cup - Benchmark 60 Hcp - 1450m - $15,000
• Post Office Hotel Camooweal - Benchmark 65 Hcp - 1200m - $10,000
• Camooweal Roadhouse - Benchmark 45 Hcp - 1000m - $10,000
• Sully’s Outback Carpentry & QNT Contracting & Pastoral Services - Class B Hcp - 1200m - $9,000
• Miller and Hick Families Maiden Plate (3yo & up sw) - 1000m - $8,500 plus QTIS bonuses
