RACE ONE After successive wins in his past two starts, WEWILLSEEHOWWEGO (6) will have to negotiate the 20m back mark for this battle. Progressing at each step and off the back of his win here last week where he was fresh up with a 7m margin, he can overcome the impost to complete the threepeat. KENETURIO (5) will be fresh up for this contest after her last start victory when finishing best to claim a 4m margin. Defeating WEWILLSEEHOWWEGO in that contest, she has improved at each outing and can be looking to throw down the challenge. MISS MEMPHIS (3) has placed in 5 of her 7 starts, the latest when 3rd to NELLIE JOY, albeit some 30m adrift. Striking trouble that ended her chances two starts back, if she can trot cleanly, she can place.
SELECTIONS: WEWILLSEEHOWWEGO (6), KENETURIO (5), MISS MEMPHIS (3) SUGGESTED BET: WEWILLSEEHOWWEGO (6) to win
RACE TWO A small field of 6 in this 2YO maiden where GEIRANGER RAINBOWS (4) is returning from a break after three runs earlier in the season. Runner-up on debut behind WATERLINE when 3m away, she was a beaten fav second up when 1m adrift from THE GROGMOTHER. Off a tidy trial she can arrive. FIVE STAR GEM (5) brings the most experience with placings in his past three in succession, the past two when runner-up at Redcliffe. Trying to make a closing raid last start, he was 1m in arrears of the winner HEZA GALVINATOR, his experience will be a bonus in this line up. DONT FEAR FOR ME (6) is a first start by Fear The Dragon for Chantal Turpin and is the 6th foal of the G1 winning mare Dont Fall For Me. With a tricky gate first up, he has trialled soundly for the debut.
SELECTIONS: GEIRANGER RAINBOWS (4), FIVE STAR GEM (5), DONT FEAR FOR ME (6) SUGGESTED BET: GEIRANGER RAINBOWS (4), to win
RACE THREE Starting in red figures last start over the Redcliffe 1780m trip from gate 4, BETTING ORIGIN (2) worked forward to take control and set it up in front. With a strong closing 800m split, he was collared in the last strides when a half-head in arrears. From the gate, he gets his chance. JUDGE JUJON (3) tackled the Heat last time out and eased from gate 5 as CAPTAIN SHUFFLES set the speed out in front. With the tempo against him as the leader ripped home in 56.1, he was always facing a huge ask. Runner-up from the trail three starts back, this is within reach. MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (4) was beaten by the second line last start at Redcliffe when wide off the track trying to make closing ground. Yet to hit the board in four starts on this deck, he can join in. SELECTIONS: BETTING ORIGIN (2), JUDGE JUJON (3), MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (4) SUGGESTED BET: BETTING ORIGIN (2) to win
RACE FOUR Stripping fitter from her latest outing where she was resuming from a spell, KENNY KEKO (7) can overcome the 20m tape to take this. Sent forward to sit parked from the mobile when resuming, she was grinding it out when 2m from the winner. Safely away, this is within reach. JUST CALL ME MOLLY (2) stepped straight to the front over this trip three starts back and once in control, ended a long winning drought with the 5m margin. Striking trouble at her next start, she tackled the mobile mile last time when just 3m in arrears after trying to lead throughout. She will throw it down. BOURBONONTHEROCKS (12) will take further benefit from her latest outing where she was second up from a break. Settled in the pocket trail last start when 4m from the winner, she can chime in. PADDY PANTS (3) could not go on with it here last week when midfield as KAPAI arrived. Placed in successive starts prior, including a 2nd to THE REAPER, he can look to feature from the 10m. SELECTIONS: KENNY KEKO (7), JUST CALL ME MOLLY (2), BOURBONONTHEROCKS (12), PADDY PANTS (3) SUGGESTED BET: KENNY KEKO (7) to win
RACE FIVE The Consolation for the 2YO ‘Boys’ looks an open contest where ODINS BLACK CROWS (10) can overcome the second line. Showing early hustle in the Heat to set the tempo, he was unable to see it out as HAVEYOUCHECKEDIN powered home to score. Fitter from the outing, he can swoop. CHIEF JUJON (5) opened the winning account two starts back when firing off the arm from gate 2 over the Redcliffe sprint trip. Fighting them off to take a head margin, he could not go with them in the Heat after easing from gate 7. He can get forward to find position and throw it down. YOGI (9) found conditions to suit two starts back and was able to graft out a determined win first over at Redcliffe. Trying to make a closing raid last start wide off the track, he has claims in this. CRADOCK (7) is still chasing a victory that continues to prove elusive after 13 attempts at getting a one on the form card. Half-head from the winner two back at Redcliffe, the gate makes it tough. SELECTIONS: ODINS BLACK CROWS (10), CHIEF JUJON (5), YOGI (9), CRADOCK (7) SUGGESTED BET: ODINS BLACK CROWS (10) to win
RACE SIX The 3YO Fillies Consolation looks a race in two between the only fillies that have a victory on this deck to their name. ROSES ARE SWEET (5) has 6 wins against her name, the latest at Redcliffe four runs back when charging home in the closing stages to score. With the right trip, she can arrive. LEANDER (1) lands the early advantage by way of this gate and gets her opportunity. Unable to go with them in the closing stages after settled in the 1x1 trail in the Heat claimed by ALWAYSBME, she has the options from the gate to capitalise. COPY WRITER (8) should secure the easy trip in behind the speed and with the second line options also on offer can be filling the minors. A Redcliffe winner five runs back, she will be searching. CANDYKANE (7) is afforded no favours from the outside paint and found the wide gate out of reach last start in the Heat. This is a little easier and with even luck she can chime into the minors. SELECTIONS: ROSES ARE SWEET (5), LEANDER (1), COPY WRITER (8), CANDYKANE (7) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE SEVEN Having shown in three career starts to date that she is an above average filly, CHEER LEADER (1) missed out on Saturday’s Triad Final when not required as the first emergency. 4th in the Heat when forced to come wide from gate 10, she scored a commanding win here last week in slick time. THE GROGMOTHER (2) went into the Triad Heat first up after her last appearance was when runner-up in the Breeders Classic back in May behind MULLUM RUBY. Finishing 8m in arrears of the winner BRONSKI DELIGHT, she lands a good alley here and can be handy enough to challenge. SAN MAREA (9) was a Redcliffe winner three starts back when working home strongly from the second line to take the prize. Just 5m from FRANKIE FEROCIOUS two starts back, she has claims. MAYWYNS LA NINA (3) held 3rd in successive APG races behind the country’s best 2YO filly JEWEL MELODY before finishing 7m from BRONSKI DELIGHT last start. In this line up she can join in. SELECTIONS: CHEER LEADER (1), THE GROGMOTHER (2), SAN MAREA (9), MAYWYNS LA NINA (3) SUGGESTED BET: CHEER LEADER (1) to win
RACE EIGHT
Pressing the issue from gate 5 here last week at the 2138m trip, THE GROGFATHER (2) worked to the front and then was fighting hard when only SAGINAW had the speed to get past. Buried in the run the start prior when chasing the impressive subsequent winner TARGARYEN, he gets his chance. PARAMA (3) was a winner here at this trip five starts back when easing away from the inside to charge home in the closing stages. Since that win, he has faced the inside second line twice and last start was beaten by gate 7 when retreating and then never able to get into it. He can chime in here. GOLDEN SAND (1) holds the keys to the contest here if he is able to hold them out early, as he will then be setting a solid tempo. Throwing it down first over last start, he is back in the main draw which has been a concern previously. SAVING MAJOR PERCY (10) held the 1x1 trail last start from gate 2 and was chasing to the wire for the silver behind IAMAJOYRIDE. Relying on tempo up front, he can be making a closing raid. SELECTIONS: THE GROGFATHER (2), PARAMA (3), GOLDEN SAND (1), SAVING MAJOR PERCY (10) SUGGESTED BET: THE GROGFATHER (2) to win
RACE NINE Winning first up for the Butler stable five starts back when firing out and leading throughout, LEITHEN BURN (6) has been unable to replicate the win but has placed in all four starts since. Starting favourite in the past three, his efforts have been full of merit, and he can bounce back here. UPTOWN BEACHGIRL (5) has had three attempts at the middle trip and been out of the money on each occasion. A beaten red figure fav last start when 4m from the winner JENDEDN STRIKE at the mile in a mare’s qualifier, her win from gate 7 here three back was strong, and she can challenge. MAGICOL IDEAL (4) was hemmed away in the run last start and searching for the openings was only into clear space late in the stretch to hit the line smartly. He is a podium hope again here. CANT BLUFF YOU (10) struck trouble first up from a spell three starts back and has since placed in both attempts, including a head margin at this trip two starts back. He can be making a closing raid. SELECTIONS: LEITHEN BURN (6), UPTOWN BEACHGIRL (5), MAGICOL IDEAL (4), CANT BLUFF YOU (10) SUGGESTED BET: LEITHEN BURN (6) to win
KASH US BACK (4) will take further benefit from his latest outing where he was second up from a spell. Taken back from gate 7, he was then facing a monumental challenge as the race developed into a sprint home as ONE BIG SHEW took the win. Luckless when resuming, the improved gate is a plus. ONE BIG SHEW (2) has been in super form on his Winter campaign, securing 6 wins in his 12 attempts here at The Creek to march through the grades. He will need to be taking another step here but comes into the contest with a smart last start victory. He has the speed to avail options. SAGINAW (7) faces a step up in class here but has proven to be effective off the speed, which he can look for here. Too strong last week at this trip, he can look to make another step up in this contest. MY ULTIMATE STAR (8) will have the second line options as the lone runner out the back and comes into this contest aft a last start 5th. Moving up at the bell after the field was in single file, it was a top effort behind BIG WHEELS.
RACE ELEVEN
After some smart efforts in tough company, MISTERFREEZE (7) appreciated the return to veteran’s company three starts back when sent into attack mode early from the second line. Taking control, he was far too classy putting up a 14m margin. Back into old-timers’ grade after two handy efforts back in FFA grade looks ideal. ROCK BOTTOM (6) faced this same gate last start and was not too far from MAKE MINE MEMPHIS. Fresh up in that battle he was 5m from the winner two starts back at the mile when doing some work in securing position. A solid tempo will aid his challenging chances. MOHS EM DOWN (5) was sent forward at the mile last start and finding the front was then able to control the tempo to take them all the way. With a good record at the trip, he can feature. KEY LARGO (9) was sent forward from gate 7 last week and unable to cross was forced to do it the tough way first over. Fading under the toll, he can get an easier trip here and is a place hope. SELECTIONS: MISTERFREEZE (7), ROCK BOTTOM (6), MOHS EM DOWN (5), KEY LARGO (9) SUGGESTED BET: MISTERFREEZE (7) to win
RACE TWELVE
With the speed to lead last week from gate 3, CAPTAIN BRAVEHEART (3) had to pay a 26.8 opening panel for the lamp lighting duties. Trying to fight them off in the stretch, it as only THE TAX CULLECTOR that sat on his back throughout that was able to nail him on the wire. This looks within reach. CHAL BE (10) was angled to the poles from gate 9 last start over the middle trip and then easing wider swinging for home, was attacking the line with gusto, only to come up a nostril short of victory. Luckless two starts back when just 4m from the winner, he can be making a late challenge. VINDICATE (5) was sent out deep into the red last start from gate 1 but was unable to see it out when finishing 4m astern of the winner. The wider gate makes it tough but a return to the mile suits. WHATA TERROR (8) was buried in the run last start after easing from gate 2 for position at the 2138m and was making some nice metres in the closing stages. He will be searching for gaps to join in. SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN BRAVEHEART (3), CHAL BE (10), VINDICATE (5), WHATA TERROR (8) SUGGESTED BET: CAPTAIN BRAVEHEART (3) to win
