Racing Queensland advises stakeholders that the Capalaba Greyhound Racing Club will host a non-Tab race meeting on Melbourne Cup Day Tuesday, November 1. The meeting will carry normal Class 5 prizemoney.
Participants should note that nominations for the feature event, the Capelbourne Cup, will close on Wednesday, October 26 at 9am. The field will be box drawn by QRIC Stewards at Capalaba on the same day. Nominations for the remainder of the meeting will close on Monday, October 31 at 9am. Scratchings will close at 8.30am on Tuesday, November 1 at 9am.
The Capelbourne Cup is open to all greyhounds that have started at Capalaba at least once in 2022. Total prizemoney for the race is $6,500.
The order of entry is by the fastest run times in 2022. The final qualifying meeting will be Sunday, October 23. Should there be a tie in the order of entry, the highest-grade greyhound will be given preference.
