RACE ONE BELLA BRONSKI (3) faded out here on Thursday after a tough trip when sent to sit parked. That followed a down the line effort in a Tamworth Golden Guitar heat. A successive winner in both prior starts on this deck, the improved gate can see her look to capitalise.
MY ULTIMATE CLIPPA (1) was a Marburg winner two starts back when sent around in the early stages and proving too tough for them. Making inside metres to grab the bronze behind ROCK HAMMER two back, he goes around on Friday afternoon and the gate is a big plus here. MI FURIOSO TORO (7) was banished to the trials last start after a veterinary concern in mid-December. Earmarked for a Tamworth trip that did not eventuate, he can be ready to offer off an economical trip. LA SAFRON (5) faces a tougher task from the wider gate here but with even luck can be looking to fill the minors. SELECTIONS: BELLA BRONSKI (3), MY ULTIMATE CLIPPA (1), MI FURIOSO TORO (7), LA SAFRON (5) SUGGESTED BET: BELLA BRONSKI (3) to win
RACE TWO JANG PEL (1) made the most of this gate last start to burrow through and from the front took them all the way, holding on for a narrow margin. Not suited over the middle trip the start prior, he lands all the mapping options here to go back-to-back. LORD DENZEL (2) will be backing up from Friday at The Creek where he looked a chance of being prominent. A winner at HQ two starts back when descending in the stretch to claim a 1m margin which followed successive 2nd placed returns. He can be close enough to challenge. BETTING BARON (6) is given no favours from the outside paint here but has been going well enough to feature in this line up. Runner-up two starts back from gate 5, he is a podium player. SUBTLE ADVICE (3) settled in the 1x1 trail last start when finishing midfield as WHATA REACTOR landed the prize up the passing lane. He can be looking to fill the exotics once again. SELECTIONS: JANG PEL (1), LORD DENZEL (2), BETTING BARON (6), SUBTLE ADVICE (3) SUGGESTED BET: JANG PEL (1) to win
RACE THREE HIT THE TRACK (2) gets back to The Triangle after campaigning at HQ in recent times, the latest when down the line behind GIRL FROM ROSEDALE. 7m from the winner FAKE CULLECTION two starts back, he can get handy to the action and finds conditions to capitalise. FORTES IN FIDE (7) was a winner over the AP mile four starts back when securing a nice trip and then owning the required speed to claim a career PB in 1.56.2. His three runs since have been in much tougher grade than he squares off against here and he just needs some space to challenge. SLINGIN A GUN (3) was well supported last start from outside the second line where he was sent forward early to sit parked. A beaten fav two back at Marburg, he can be handy enough here. TRACER BULLET (6) was sent forward from the second line to get outside the leader last time out and despite a tough trip was able to get within a head of the winner. He might need to work again. SELECTIONS: HIT THE TRACK (2), FORTES IN FIDE (7), SLINGIN A GUN (3), TRACER BULLET (6) SUGGESTED BET: HIT THE TRACK (2) to win
RACE FOUR CIRCLE LINE (5) makes his first appearance of the season after fading out at his last run in late December. Prior to that his form had been consistent, hitting the board in 6 of his previous 8 starts. Despite the wider gate, he can get forward and capitalise. MY ULTIMATE HESTON (4) was sent to sit parked last start over the 2040 trip and was unable to go on with it. That is not his go and if able to slide across into the running line to limit the workload, he can be issuing a closing challenge in this line up. FLY CHEVAL (9) was sent to the post as fav on Wednesday night from gate 1 and after leading over the 2040 was collared in the closing stages. The gate hurts but a return to the sprint helps. EAGLES RESPONSE (7) started from this same alley last start when finishing within 5m of the winner from the trail. Likely to be shuffled back early, she has podium claims. SELECTIONS: CIRCLE LINE (5), MY ULTIMATE HESTON (4), FLY CHEVAL (9), EAGLES RESPONSE (7) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE FIVE OLD ENGLISH (7) returns from a spell after a last start 3rd over the mile at headquarters where he chased home behind LUXURY LAD. Coming into this without a public trial, he will require a rub of the green from this gate as he looks in danger of being snookered. If the gaps present, he can arrive. TRUE GRIT SHADOW (4) has faced the starter on three occasions since arriving with the Mark McNee yard and is yet to fill a minor. Bumping into JAZIAH at his past two starts, all three of his runs have been from the second line with a return to the front a big plus in turning his fortunes around. BLUE TITLE (6) was a winner two starts back when darting through to hold them wide and then was able to hold on for victory by a neck. Fading out in a much tougher contest last time the gate stings. CHARLIE MY BOY (2) started from inside the second line last start and never got warm when finishing back in the pack. He can be handy enough to feature. SELECTIONS: OLD ENGLISH (7), TRUE GRIT SHADOW (4), BLUE TITLE (6), CHARLIE MY BOY (2) SUGGESTED BET: OLD ENGLISH (7) to win
RACE SIX A tricky contest to end the night where Ricky Gordon holds the keys to the contest with four runners. By virtue of the options on from this gate, WEDDING NIGHT (1) might just have the conditions for a breakthrough. Midfield last time behind LORD DENZEL, she can claim the race 6 raffle. MANY DELIGHTS (2) was returning from a let up last start when forcing the issue to get forward in a handy spot. Not suited his previous three from second line gates, he can get forward here to throw down the challenge. BELLA GODIVA (5) has a started to develop a tidy record at this track, and will just need even luck from the wide gate. Mixing her numbers of late, she gets a chance. ALWAYS AT NIGHT (4) snared the pocket trail last start but despite the economical trip was unable to go with them when the power went on. Effective off speed, he can be charging home. SELECTIONS: WEDDING NIGHT (1), MANY DELIGHTS (2), BELLA GODIVA (5), ALWAYS AT NIGHT (4) SUGGESTED BET:
