Foster care is an important step for many dogs in the GAP program, which aims to prepare retired racing greyhounds for life as family pets.
GAP Operations Manager Leah Kellaway said the GAP aims to expose greyhounds to a variety of situations likely to be encountered as a pet.
"Foster carers can teach greyhounds basic house manners, get them used to the type of routine that is normal in a family home and familiarise them with things that they might not have encountered before, such as stairs and noises in the home like the microwave ding," she said.
The litter of puppies, including Bobby and his two brothers, are rarities at the GAP.
Most of the dogs that are accepted into the program are adult retired racers.
There are a number of GAP greyhounds available now who are looking for a foster home.
With plenty of toys and cuddles to enjoy, Bobby is living out his doggy dreams.

Fostering a GAP greyhound allows dog lovers who may not be able to commit to having a dog long-term the chance to enjoy the company of a short-term furry friend.
